Yeah the only way it could affect the forum if it over loaded the servers which is not going to happen.
How do anti-spammers work? Some random dude could just make an account and post a spam like an ad, but how would you prevent this?

Generally it's automated programs that try and spam. A human trying to spam will always be able to spam to an extent because the challenges a program cannot pass are easy for a human.
