Email Errors

Well, I didn't know which forum administrator to ask.
And, I didn't know which forum to put this in...
So I just made it into a question.
What exactly is going on?

I tried to change my email, and this appeared.
I definitely typed my password in right, and when I type anything else in, it says "Wrong Old Password"
Is there anything to fix it? And is it my fault, or the servers?

You mean on the tab?
You know... If i actually changed my email on the forums (which i am doing), you could just click the button, same as you, and find out my email...

If you are talking about the button on my profile please explain more. It currently is my old email btw, if it was that

Oddly, I get the same thing when reporting something sometimes. I'm not sure what's going on.

I'm not exactly sure either. It's happened a few times now and I think Meredith should find a permanent fix rather than a temporary one.

It's a forum bug, I never change the email auth settings on the main server. Since I did a complete install I can only assume the bug is in default Fluxbb code and since my PHP is less than competent my efforts to fix would be fruitless.

It's a mail server bug. Nobody else (No other forums) has this problem.

Well, this roughly has to do with the OP, and I don't want to create a brand new topic for something that might be solved with one reply, but someone I know (Cakeje) is trying to create an account, and keeps getting "authentication failure: could not send email" while trying to register.

Well, this roughly has to do with the OP, and I don't want to create a brand new topic for something that might be solved with one reply, but someone I know (Cakeje) is trying to create an account, and keeps getting "authentication failure: could not send email" while trying to register.

That's weird. Currently, email validation is turned off so it shouldn't be trying to send any email while he's creating an account. Ask him to try it again, maybe it's only recently been turned off.

I turned it off whilst I'm doing hard core work and am unable to fix the settings.

Ok, thanks, now that it has been turned off, I have managed to change my email.
