No 'new post' notifiers on threads/thread bins that I don't care about

For instance I don't care about

I want to be able to stop being notified when there is a new post in certain threads and thread bins.

If you don't want to be notified logout and it doesn't show any new/old posts and login when you want to post but it's a nice feature imo

I don't see the point in styling threads based on each user's personal likes and dislikes.

I'll see what I can do as far as creating a mod for it. Meredith and Atilla can decide whether they feel like adding such a superficial mod to the forum.

i hope you don't think that this is some weird ad-sense thing that predicts when people will want to see a thread

Yeah, I understood that. Still extremely superficial since you can just not click the thread. It seems like a lot of effort to keep track of all ignored threads just to remove a "New Post" icon and the "[New Posts]" link.

Yeah, I understood that. Still extremely superficial since you can just not click the thread. It seems like a lot of effort to keep track of all ignored threads just to remove a "New Post" icon and the "[New Posts]" link.

I would be happy if I could just click the tick and it would disappear, I just don't have to visit the tread.

That's easily possible with some JavaScript and an AJAX request to the click'd topic.
