Take time in your smileys, it will look better. Well, for me I go kinda fast, but don't have many good smiley ideas. I still have to upload mine.

These blocks and smiles don't look the way Benjaminsen makes them. They don't use full black, they use a shade of dark brown for the mouths and eyes. Try mixing-and-matching the smileys and uploading those before making your own.

You should edit out the backgrounds more on some of them, and some, especially the Princess Peach one for example - are hard to identify from that view.

you could do like chaos emeralds, (when collected, makes you jump higher/run faster) and all 7 makes you FLY!
and a sonic smiley, tails, knuckles, etc...
and some sonic blocks like (idea here)
