Musical Instruments???

If You Go Near a Instrument it plays a tune of music.
Like:
Base: Plays Base
Piano: Plays Piano
Ukulele: Plays Ukulele
Guitar: Plays Guitar. etc.
or if it can't play music just do the orcestra pack.

hm, maybe it could be a bit like coins with no clip and play a single note for each instrument, use different notes.
There's great potential for this.

Actually I quite like this. If it were like a coin, and played a note as you move through it, people could make some really creative music levels. Being able to choose the note each individual brick plays would be awesome. haha

dividing up the instruments into categories would probably be the best way to organize them.   for the icon, im thinking that there is simply a picture of the instrument, and maybe the note as well.

I really don't like to disagree with people. People who know me know I hate disagreeing. But, I really don't think that we need this honesty. It isn't something that I would want in everybody edits; I think we could add things that are more useful. But, that is just my opinion, and if other people like this idea, then it is obviously a good one.

I know that, but whenever I try to fit it, it gets distorted, and it is all messed up.
I'm working on it though

what about making it diagonal?
So the length can be fully used
Also you can make it max 16x16

diagonal might mess up how it looks.   not making it diagonal leaves room for putting what note it is there.

that one seems good, it leaves plenty of room for the note next to it, but some other instruments might make it harder to fit it in (ex, piano)

I love this idea, and will donate some live samples(so you don't have to synthesize everything ) of acoustic/electric(with various diff effects) guitar, bass, and ukulele.

I think this would be awesome if these were overlayed, so when you pass through them, or touch a brick with an instrument on it it would play the sound, could create some awesome automated levels like those super mario world hacks that are out there.
This would NEED some sort of implementation of multiple notes for every instrument, perhaps making them color coded note for note, and brightness changing for octave, then you could buy one instrument in the shop and have a handful of options.
