Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

M/F

Boys should have a blue outline and girls should have pink outline. You don't have to tell EE your gender. If you don't want to you just stay white. Might not work but we need some way of if the person we're talking to is a guy or girl.

Re: M/F

example: I want to put on the valentine's smiley, but I think it makes me look like a girl. What the heck am I supposed to do? What's the purpose of a smiley if you don't use it?

I think some smileys are just things for you to dump energy into. They're just for show. People like me are too lazy to change smileys.

I agree, we need some identification as to our genders. People always seem to want to call me jade //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Your problem is simply because there aren't capital and lowercase letters in usernames.

I also agree we need a way to identify genders, however, I don't exactly like the smiley outline idea. But I think that might be the only way, so yeah...

Re: M/F

got chat? I do, lots of people do. Most don't. And if I want to show off my smiley I don't want people thinking I'm a girl.

Changing colour of names...
Random guest's thought: Where did all the mods come from?

Guests don't have chat so they can't see the username.

Re: M/F

You can always see usernames under smileys

Re: M/F

Actually, you can tell the gender by the usernames they have. For example, Different55's username sounds like a boy name.

Re: M/F

Ok then. How about this hypothetical situation:

My names are 2457, lolz, LOLwut, and qwerty.

Which of these are boys and which are girls?

Re: M/F

missed 1. But my point is, you can't always tell. People are more likely to judge off the smiley you have on rather than stopping and looking at your username.

Re: M/F

Thanks! But there's a problem, you would only be able to tell if they are M/F if you stop long enough to check. We just want it to be able to check at a glance. Without interrupting what you're doing.

Re: M/F

Hmm. It sounds like a good idea, but the thought of having pink around my name doesn't seem too appealing. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue Perhaps another way to present your gender would be nice, like a little box on the right end of the userlist, next to each person's name that's pink or blue depending on your gender.

Re: M/F

People who don't have chat don't need this as they can't communicate in-game anyway. I say user-list idea is the best.
