What does the lag depend on?

Well I was on my level on 2 accs at once ( because 1 is beta and the other one has got the ability to chat). This is what I've noticed. The account with chat was lagging BAD, I mean the interval between a click and when it actually appears on the map. Then I placed several blocks on my beta account and it was kinda fast, no sign of an incoming lag. First I thought the lag depended on your internet connection/ the host, but   doesn't seem like it.

2 kinds of lag: connection lag and pc lag (at least, that's what I call them).

Connection lag depends on:
1: Your internetspeed/bandwidth
2: Quality of your ISP
3: Server speed/bandwidth/capacity
4: Server load

PC lag: (depends on the task, but we'll assume EE)
1: CPU speed
2: RAM size/speed
3: Possibly GPU now that flash is GPU accelerated

Mostly it's just the server that's slacking.

Well that surely wasn't my PC. Because the game itself wasn't slow, just the interval between a click and when the block appeared. My internet is pretty fast too... Yeah, gotta be some server issues.. But then I don't understand why 1 account lagged and the other one didn't even though they were on the same map.

chat causes a little bit of lag i guess, from loading / recieving messages. idk my guess.

Sounds logical, not sure though.

I think the chat makes it lag just because possibly the amount of messages you are receiving or the game could also lag because of the size of world, the amount of people there or how active the world is.
