Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

Ostkaka and I have been working the last few weeks with this bot, called "MasterBot".(Don't laugh https://wiki.everybodyedits.com/images/c/c0/069_LOL)

Basically, it's a bot that supports many modules. We will hand out the bot itself and a library .dll with all the interfaces you need to create a module for the bot.
A demo of the module interface:

Hidden text

These callbacks and properties are the only ones you need to create yourself a module.
The property "HasTab" is used to tell the bot if your subbot wants its own tab page in the bot. This is useful for having some GUI controls to easier interact with your module.
The rest of the bot is, of course, "professionally" coded to help provide the best performance and structure for your modules. It will also come with a few pre-made modules by Ostkaka and me,

Anti-troll(rollbackplayer, disableedit, more),
WorldEdit(proper in-world easy editing),
Minimap(True ee-colors minimap with player positions drawn),
Player Physics(90% accurate player positions that you get in your modules) ,

just to show how the bot works.
Of course, this bot will only work in worlds that you are owner of.

[OLD, DONT DOWNLOAD] Download link complete with bot and API: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/395 … terBot.rar
Github: https://github.com/CheeseSoftware/MasterBot
If you want the latest, clone it yourself.

We'll see about that. I doubt anyone will use it anyway since ee is almost dead.

That won't be necessary.   Just continue developing your bot and release it like normal.

It is possible that someone stole the idea from you, but until both of your put forward proof of concept along with a public, third-party timestamp (e.g. a Github README file), I can't point fingers.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

Nobody of us invented the idea of plugins. The idea of using that idea in EE is very simple and that's why not only you have thought about it. I don't like this project because I'm programming a voxel game and this is just a waste of time. I'd prefer if we could cooperate by using the same interface to the .dll-files.

If so, why you do this project? I will do what TakoMan sayed: "continue developing your bot".

Re: Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

Why limit the bot to owned worlds? (Besides the obvious reasons)
What about forms instead of tabs?
Are the sending chats queued so they don't get spam?
Etc

The bot isn't limited. >.<

hummerz5 wrote:

I prefer tabs over 343 forms, but you can still create forms in the plugins(no mdi though).

Not yet, but I can fix that tomorrow.

Re: Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

Why does the "bot" use JoinRoom instead of CreateJoinRoom?
If there are problems with version, then use http://pastebin.com/r2t7xnH6

Cool! I ran the bot. It crashed. D:
Ran it again. It crashed. D:

Edit:
I emptied "plugins" directory

It didn't crash. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Edit (again):
I'm on board with this idea, but I'm sad that it doesn't work. Plz fix //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Going to look into this.
Do you have .net 4.5?
Can't understand how it could crash. Doesn't crash for anyone else?

Please look into memory leakage, too.   After it joined my room, it consumed over 90% of my CPU power.

It's about time you throw your Intel Pentium III in the trash.
(I'll check it)

Re: Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

It might be the obfuscator. We'll probably make it less obfuscated.

[Edit]:
I found some stupid code, we'll fix it!

[Edit2]:

abrar11 wrote:

It might work if you recompile the plugins. There is a .sln in the folder.

Lovely, it works(ish) now
Except for the part where vs2012 eats my gui every now and then, it's great.

Lucky guess. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue I would if it wasn't inside a laptop.

Re: Modular "masterbot" [Release!]

I think I've brought down the CPU usage enough, stable at 13-14% with minimap and physics turned on in a world with 20+ players. Since the physics need accurate timing a lot of cpu is used there.
