Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hello dear EE community,
I've been working on an offline EE editor for a long time and I have already released some versions last summer. Then I stopped playing EE, mostly due to the lack of updates. But I'm back! (yay)
Now I'm here to mainly ask a question about ethic: Should I or should I not release my offline editor for the great community?
This question come from the realization that the editor is, in a sense, quite powerful:
-You can download/upload any world, as long as you can edit the room --> Can lead to people stealing other's room.
-You can cheat in maps by seeing where the portals leads, the invisible blocks, the code written in the map,...
-You can play with "glitched" blocks
-And other stuff
So I'm here today, humble in front of the crowd, to ask you:
Should I unleashed it? If yes, do you want me to restrain certain actions to make it a bit less powerful? Or do you want it all (and now o/)?
Well, I'm waiting for you answers.
xoxo

this have been done already... Is called EE Animator. This will be just an update.
You should ask the creator for permission.
Everybody edits, but some edit more than others

EE Animator is one thing. This tool is with all functions, text, sign and such. Which EE Animator doesn't even support. And EE Animator doesn't have an uploading function either. So don't come and say it's EE Animator and that he needs to ask aslai to put it here.
I have tried the tool, and it's nice. But the uploading function kinda sucks.

Lel? I've been working on this and it's not EE animator. But Ok, lemme ask the creator of that soft for his permission.
"Tiken, may I use my soft? Yes of course. I mean, you are me you know, you can take the decision for me. Ok cool, thx! See you tonight in the mirror!"
Well, apparently, the creator is ok. And also, if I understand well, EE animator is dead no? If not, sorry for the post, I'm not needed here.

Yeah, I know, I have to figure out how to quicken it =S (But I'm open for help )

Just only allow uploading and downloading worlds where you are connected as the owner would pretty much solve those problems.
And no, not every world editing tool is EE Animator (which is very old and outdated) and he does not need Aslai's permission to release something that he made himself.
I'm interested in taking a look at it. I put my expectations rather low, as I've seen many terribly made editors, but nonetheless it sounds useful.

Damnit, atilla beat me to it...
But I agree with only allowing uploading, downloading your own worlds, and creating of worlds. Also cant wait, new bots that are coming out so far will help me so much.

Wait, the picture the doh put. What picture is that of?

Send it at 1-5ms delay and have the bot check for lagged blocks.

You can also make it open source for people change it how they want.

so this topic dosent have any subject now.
Except that it does.
I think you should release it. It'd be a useful tool. You might want to restrict it so that you have to own the world in order to download it to prevent it from being used to steal worlds.

Ok. Leave it how it is... But I don't believe that somebody will use that.
I guess a lot would use it. More than people use your Zbot.

I give the answer, so this topic doesn't have any subject now.
I don't get it, did I do something that offend you? If so, I'm terribly sorry... But if I asked this legitimate question, it's mainly because some people asked for an offline editor. (And I made one some time ago, because the internet connection at my place back in China was crap...)
I'm sorry that I tried to do something useful.
edit: typo

Wait so basically you can build offline, then import this into your world?

Yep.
And, you can upload a world onto this program, to edit it offline, then download it back into EE when you go back online, and ta-dah

That's pretty interesting. Good job!

ZBot have never been tinked for a public relase,.. it was only for my personal use. Less people in present are creating words, more just play.
I am worry that people will use it for bad things(editor).

This bot is great.
Say you are somewhere where you have no internet, just use this.
Say the EE servers are down, make a world with this bot.
Honestly, I don't see anything WRONG with this...
Also, the answer was not given. Do you not know what a poll is?
It requires multiple opinions, not just yours

Zumza, stop using ridiculous "I'm not offended" remarks when you clearly are. You keep saying the topic is irrelevant and making invalid and dumb points.
This topic isn't irrelevant, your opinions are.

I was frustrated and jealous(not at his project). Tikenalpha didn't mistake me with anything. And I dont know if "sorry" are enoth but I am very very sorry at what I did here.
The project is grate, lot of crew will use it. You can also make something for cloud storing. You can add things as geometrical shapes. It can serve as an most faster way to build a word. This programm have unlimiteted functions that you can exploit.

Ok, Thank you everyone for your answers. I will release it as soon as possible with a small tutorial for the advanced tips (you can explore it by yourself, but some stuff are kinda hidden).
The problem now is that I have tons of work, so I cannot assure you a quick release. Also, the first release will surely be kinda crappy since I'll only recompile with the "anti-theft" code... Should I first give a copy to the admins for test? Or are the admins bad and can't be trusted?

Why would you give the admins of this forum the tool to test and not just release it for everyone?

Because the mostly-self-appointed admins of a random website somewhere on the internet MUST be trustworthy, of course.
