As a celebration of our new programming sub-forum, I thought it would be great to have a topic with a cumulative list of creative bot ideas. This is specifically for Everybody Edits bots, so any other programs that you wish to be made should be posted in a separate thread.

Have Your Bot Ideas Come to Life!

There have been topics about this before, but now the list can grow. Bots have become a ubiquitous part of Everybody Edits, including bot-assisted levels, tools to make level creation easier, and programs that enhance the game play experience of EE in general.

However, as EE is a sandbox game, there are virtually endless possibilities! I am 100% positive that there are ideas floating around in the heads of the members of our amazing community.

Maybe you don't have the programming skills to execute these ideas. That's where this topic comes in to play! You may post any ideas for an EE program that you would absolutely love to see a programmer make. All ideas will be considered, and the excellent ones will be added to the list (one post below this).

I hope to see many ideas, from programmers and non-programmers alike!

Remember, if you post an idea, you are giving permission for ANY programmer who sees this post to create it.

That being said, it does not matter how skilled you are at programming, you have permission to use these ideas! Challenge yourself! (No, I am not the only one who may use these ideas. Like I said, ANYONE can use them.)

So post away, code away, and keep those wheels turning!

I'm not sure if there's a bot for this already, but a bot which creates empty music tracks, where you make the music, could be nice

Do you mean a bot that creates a template for music blocks, and people just add the notes?

If so, that wouldn't really require a bot.

Yes, I thought it'd be nice if a bot made those since it's annoying to build those over and over again.
When you say it doesn't need a bot do you mean that you can build it without a bot too? I just thought it'd be less work

- Cops & Robbers
- old, cool Diggy
- drawing tools
- a not spammy cleverbot
- something like that ~~jerk~~ zerk but less spammy and with better commands
- ~~Coin Collector~~
- space shooter where you need to eliminate bad ailiens whch try to kill you this?
- moving blocks with alot special effectts

I'm (seriously) not sure I get that.
Are you saying a bot that loads bots that other people create so that the user using the bot doesn't reach the two-per-level maximum?
Sounds good if yes.

And, a question.
Is this the place to explain the impossible nature of bots that are, well... impossible?
Or to say how good/bad they are? Or is that for a separate thread for the individual bot (idea) ?

How about a bot like this:

After 10 seconds, the bot automatically teleports everyone into a specific room. A random combination (none, red, green, blue, red/green, red/blue, green/blue, or all three) of all three keys will be triggered until someone reaches the crown, in which case the loop resets.

That's not all the details, but that's a basic idea, and I will get more detailed if you are interested.

A tetris bot, where you can compete with other players. Up would turn the piece clockwise, left and right to move the piece left and right, down to softdrop the piece, and space to harddrop it.

A gun game, in which, maybe press down? And the bot shoots hazard in a straight line like a laser/moves 1 hazard at a time. Imagine how fun that would be... (This would be your own smiley, and pretty much barena bot with smileys)

Maybe captain9 can do it, but probably will appear more bugs.

A bot that you enter a world name, and *poof* a world, or worlds, with that name appear, with the name of the room owner, and a link will be provided as well.

(Example: I search "Frogdance" in the bot, and poof, a world named "Frogdance" pops up, the room owner's name is Harry, and the link is everybodyedits.com/games/Pw3444_A0i)

This is a good idea, and should include favourite worlds too, and a player search too, with all his worlds.
Off topic: Only i searched the example link to see if is true.

One I was thinking about was a bot that converts mp3 files into EE music notes. Have to do some research as to whether or not it has already been made though. Something like a mp3 to MIDI converter.

I don't see how that would work, but a midi converter would be nice.

This has already been thought of and I believe someone from LOA is currently working on it
