Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

lrussell's web tools

Hey guys,
I've been trying to put together a few EE web tools. So far I've manged to make a world image generator. You can view any world full size or as minimap (as of last save) as a PNG. If you guys have any other recommendations let me know.

Link to main page: http://titanshell.com/~lrussell/ee_tools/
Linkl to map generator: http://titanshell.com/~lrussell/ee_tools/map_gen

Here's a test level (generated on the fly from EE):
index.php?id=PWlKCza6rma0I&mode=full

Re: lrussell's web tools

Definitely very nice. I was thinking about something like this myself but held off because I thought it would take too long.

9/10 great work, just the UI is not that fancy though.

If you want me to delete this, change/modify it tell me.

I really like that remake. However if I could pan the minimap (kind of like google maps; since my screen is a bit small) that would be totally awesome.

The GUI was just a quick thing. Originally you just had to modify the URL bar (as an API) but I added it for people who don't know what they're doing. I plan on making a proper site eventually, for now it's just functional. Go ahead and keep it, doesn't matter to me.
Though, your timeout is a bit too low for larger worlds where it can take about 5 seconds to generate and load.

Oh yeah, that UI was a quick thing too though, that's why the timeout is too low.
Well, and would be nice to maybe add two (optional) coordinates.

Example:
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
BBBBBCBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBCBBBBBBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
=> Only green + red is on the picture.

EEPainter being slow doesn't mean C# is slow.
C# is fast and reliable if you don't code horribly, which is why EEPainter is slow; bad unoptimized code.

Something like that might work. Feel free to do whatever with it, it's an open tool for a reason.

Nope, C# handles the image generation while PHP is just the "transport". The only HTML in it is for the basic form.

Re: lrussell's web tools

I've made a few more little handy scripts. I'll probably clean it up into a proper website soon with proper information.
Enjoy. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

It is currently impossible to view the tutorial levels using the map tool.

Why would you need those? They don't even have proper level IDs.
