Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I like levels that are more free than other levels and that have a certain story to it, but also a reward that is greater than the level itself, yet not a code.
You're kind of vague. The only rewards I can think of are codes, crowns, and coins. The others relate to bosses.

Same here :/
If your level dosen't have any hook jumps, stairs, dot trails, high jumps or 100+ minigames in boxes... You get a like from me =]
I like speed jumps and fast bosses =]
I know your trying to make a minigame world but try not to have boxes and hundreds of them, Try experimenting with dots and gravity to make games =]

Limit your "rooms" to about 50 or so. In going over our old maps, I've found that, depending on how you count rooms, our "short" maps tend to be 16-20 rooms and our long maps tend to be about 50 rooms. Once you get beyond that count, maps start to become a real chore to beat.

Yeah i was actually thinking about that when i was creating part of the room, i was like "i bet this is going to get real boring for people" or maybe thats just me being negative
im like stairs and levels with the key blocks ;x
WHAT ARE YOU???

Individual Hook Jumps, some anti-gravity paths, block-to-block jumps. Tight-fits and thats it.
Well, if we give you the ideas, it wouldnt be too original.

Well atleast it would be things that people enjoy plus other people on this forum could also gather ideas for their own levels. I never asked for a specific obstacle so yuh :3
When making rooms, think about how the "tricks" tie in to one another. If you can stop at any point in the room and have part of the room done, you haven't made a room, you've made a series of tricks that you have to redo if you fail any trick. While those can be ok, especially if the tricks have some common theme, it is very difficult to make any single trick that people haven't seen a hundred times over.
The best way to make a room that is new and fresh is by linking tricks such that you have to do each piece without stopping. This means that each trick changes the nature of the next trick. They don't have to be difficult tricks: as long as the tricks affect each other, it can still feel new and fresh.
If you think about it, this is why some tricks are hated so much: it is extremely difficult to make a hookjump that ties into other tricks, so just about every hookjump feels like all the other hookjumps in all the other maps. Same thing with jumping through a little hole in the ceiling: not much way to change that without making it obscenely difficult.

So like for example a hook jump but having a hole that you have to go through whilst doing the hook jump? (which can be really annoying) I think i kinda understand what you are saying but in a way im not sure if i do although this is really informal so ill give you a 1+ rep :3
