Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Black Blocks

What's your opinion about them? Do you mind seeing minigames made out of them?

I personally see no difference. I'd rather have the scene look good than use colored blocks.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Black Blocks

It takes away from the art. It makes it feel like you just drew something random, and then made minis where there wasn't art.

Imo, minis should be incorporated into the actual art, not going around it. If you can't incorporate minis into the art, then imo it's not a good level theme, or it could've been drawn differently to incorporate minis.

^that

+not using black blocks shows true skill: it means you can adapt your ideas to the shapes you have in front of you. If it doesn't work, find another solution! Black blocks show a lack of creativity.

This doesn't mean everything with black blocks is bad though.

Re: Black Blocks

Let's tako BEE's piano level.

What would you do in her case? Not make mini's at all or make black minis?

Re: Black Blocks

Well personally black blocks do annoy me if they are used over and over again. Since I don't want to put my face right up at the computer every second.

1. It hurts my eyes
2. Getting out of my chair every 3 seconds is really annoying
Too bad my computer screen doesn't show black blocks. Well, you can see the if you look close.

It honestly depends on whether your level is shaped around the art or around the minis. In this case, the minigames were shaped around the art.

Re: Black Blocks

Well it's ok to use some black blocks but as Nou said using no black blocks is more of a challenge for the creator since they have to use the art to shape your minis.
