Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

PEOPLE. NINJAS.
Well? It's certainly IS possible!
That factory gray isn't exactly very dark, and often when I'm doing a night scene it doesn't suffice for a cloud. Why not use ninjas?
And, believe it or not, classic people are brighter then the white metal. Use these for your shading!
Here, I even made a palette (Because I didn't have the time nor patience, I photoshopped the color of the ninjas):
Woah, let's look at that minimap a little closer.
Are you seeing what I'm seeing?! That's a tremendous difference! I thought the white metal WAS white, but it looks gray next to these guests! And I've never seen a more sincere shade of gray before.
You wanted more blocks? Well, it's technically NOT a block but it sure can serve as one!
The only problem would be the fact you can't save it. So, it's probably a good idea you don't use these in large masses (unless you have some extreme dedication). Maybe 1 or 2 clouds, possibly a tree, whatever.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

the only problem is guests dont have ninjas, and you can only go on a level once so... you would only get one pixel of darkness.
yeah but youd need quite a lot of people let alone members to shade several clouds. Plus what if your not in a crew?
Regular person: Use your crew members and anyone that wants to volunteer
Person without a crew: Use your friends and volunteers
Person with no friends: Ask for help
And you don't need them in large masses, maybe just here and there. If you were dedicated enough then I'm sure you'll make it happen. If you really don't want a dark gray, then you can live without.

If you can't do it, you just can't do it. Work with the normal shades of grey/white, that's the end of it. There's no "what if", it's either "you can" or "you can't"

Thank you.
And I agree, the "what if" questions are really annoying. If you like the discovery, go ahead and use it. If you dislike it (or in MBA's situation, think it is too complicated to use) then don't bother.
If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say it at all. Imo.

lol, i found this ages ago infact when i told my friend once he made a level with those two shades by getting friends and making guests, plus theres also two shades of green that he used, the owner of levels minimap color and the owner of the minimaps ninja color and he made all that in a level and he had two windows open so he could do it... it was funny!
Well, the shades of green are only available to the owner, so that's of no use to people who actually need the colors. Congrats on "finding this first", I suppose...
EDIT: Forgot to refresh, tako beat me to it.

Yep. Found this a while ago then realized it was pretty damn stupid, so I didn't tell anyone.
Nevertheless, I find it useful.
Not the dark gray so much as the white.
Just imagine the details you could do now...

its hardly an awesome discovery when someone finds out ninjas are dark grey on a minimap this late after theve been released.
Well, it's the idea of using them as a brick that's discovered.
A lot of people might have discovered it before me, but they haven't done anything with it.

I thought of it like others but never actually did anything. Also you get blocks that people can go through but appear on the minimap. You can set them up with blocks then have them float with AG dots then erase the solid blocks to create an awesome color that is not solid a the same time. You can make them solid also by placing blocks on top of them and under them.

Okay. We all know that others have discovered this, but, to the best of my knowledge, it's never been used in a big way before, and there's never been a topic about it before. Any questions?

TakoMan02, this is brilliant outside-the-box thinking. Also, this is probably the most ghetto solution for white blocks I've ever seen. ThereIFixedIt.com would be all over this if it were an IRL fix.
But seriously, I'm genuinely impressed with this solution. It's ingenius.
Okay, ingenious. But show me a map where It's used, or one where It would be a reasonable fix. It's not practical. At all.

fair enough
I still don't see this working out.
Actually... I see a problem here, look:
Max ppl in one room is 45, and on one level you use ALOT more than 45... so it will only work for some small few arts or it wont be many playing it :/
Nice idea, but the ninja isn't really practical.

Ok, since nobody knows how to use their imagination, I made a "Winter Sunrise" scene.
30 guests. That means 15 people can play this tiny level.

Okay, maybe for smallish worlds. Pretty epic way to guest-bomb.
