Candy Cane Hell

(ok maybe one more post before bed...)

This is a level I am currently working on. Feedback on art is greatly appreciated.

Things I am considering:

- Deleting the green wreath
- Finishing the candy canes
- Add more detail to cave walls

P.S. I consider the world "hell" as a noun, as a place, and I mean nothing negative by saying it. If a forum moderator has a problem with it, instead of deleting my post please just edit the word out. I do not wish to be offensive.

Looks good but the idea about hell is that it looks like hell, if hell didn't look like hell it wouldn't be hell would it?
Also is CC hell, hell for candy canes, you know ones that have been bad, you know like ones with a chocolate filling and have been eaten and gone to hell, or is it hell with candy canes for people who have gone to hell and dislike candy canes making it hell, and not a very nice hell I mean, hell with candy canes if you dislike candy canes is not a very nice hell, well I guess hell isn't meant to be very nice, but what if you liked candy canes and got sent there by accident, then it wouldn't be candy cane hell and be candy cane heaven and not hell, but I guess they would soon rectify that and send you to something else like maple syrup hell instead of candy cane hell, I wonder what maple syrup hell would be, would it be nice or hell, I mean it would be hell for those who were sent to that hell, maybe Canadians who are sick of maple syrup and gone to hell where its sticky and they might be allergic to the hell which would be hell for them and then hell would be hell because its hell.

Lol it took my a minute to understand what you wrote xD

Well basically the idea was supposed to be an inverted Christmas (I realize Christmas has passed now), but still. The idea was instead of your regular traditional Christmas where everything is safe, joyful and fun, the tables are turned as you enter Candy Cane Hell.

The center of the level, the man eating gift, is supposed to be quite large compared to a person of average height, and all the candy canes are poisonous.

I agree the color scheme though is so far not very fitting and I may change that. I just cannot seem to decide on a good background color...

Well anyways thanks for the advice I will work on my level some more..

From what I saw, my feedback is:

Delete the wreath (seems out of place)

Make the candy canes on the top more pronounced (like the lower-right one)

The background could use some changes. The color doesn't need to match, just something that looks attractive to the eye.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the feedback!

I had already planned on deleting the wreath.

I have re-assessed my color scheme and have decided to make the following changes. I have turned the cavern walls into that teal-ish/green brick, because it makes a triadic color scheme with the orange and purple candy canes, and it compliments the red background. I will most likely eventually make the ground green too.

The candy canes, as you have mentioned, are not finished, but I do plan on adding more (I want to make lots of them)

Candy canes alzo need heaven for all du tasty ones too, I dink the level is all funny an good lookin, I dink the background needs a tad more

Did you use mineral for the blue on the roof? If so replace it and it will look much better.
