Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

yes, yes!
A couple people want Risk then. I might make it.
Some that I have been considering (to narrow the choices):
Reversi / Othello
Go
Risk
Monpoly
Definitely Monopoly and Risk.

Preferably 132x132.
8 doesn't evenly divide into 132.
Chess boards should be 8x8 ._.

I have no idea where the 132 came from. I meant to say 128.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Either.
Chess would need: brown/black and white pawns, rook, knights, bishops, kings, and queens. If you're feeling classy you could probably make a subtle texture for the tiles and a wood border, like this.
Battleship would need: Aircraft carrier (5 tiles long), Battleship (4 tiles long), submarine and destroyer (3 tiles long), patrol boat (2 tiles long). The background can just be a repeating pattern of water and the border can be anything you want, like maybe metal with dials and things.
For both, you don't need to duplicate the board itself. You can make individual things and I can tile them. Tiles should be around 10x10, but if that looks too big/small adjust it as necessary.
Don't feel pressured into making all of this. I will be making my own versions, but if yours are better I will steal them.
Haha you're funny. This'll take forever. I'll make the chess.

Here's a very lame version of one, Tako:

Not even close to done. Here are some of the board textures for chess (11x11).
More on the way!

Due to some slight complications (my knowledge of C# is like swiss cheese, so it doesn't surprise me) the Battleship "plugin" or option will not be available this month. However I fully expect everything to be released by the end of February as originally promised.

Can I test since I was technically involved in art? And I'll make some more textures in a bit. Maybe tomorrow.

I'd be willing to test also, pm me when you get close to finishing anything.

Yeeee-no. But I'm not getting involved in Battleship. Too classic.

Dear god.
So the pain in doing stuff like this is... it's tedious. Each and every block needs to be recorded and put into the code. There were over 2000 bricks in that tiny little header, each of which I had to place 4 times because my copy/paste was malfunctioning (I still have no idea why... definitely not my keyboard, must be VS2012). But it was definitely worth it.
I had it set up in such a way that it would record my actions and then repeat it. Imagine watching yourself make art, except you aren't there and it's ridiculously fast. It's neat.
I'm also happy that my new connection can pull off a speed of 10ms with 0 breaks. I'm almost faster than the neurons in your brain.
Anyway, I'm going to start working on the actual game mechanics now instead of goofing around with aesthetics and making neuron comparisons.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Sorry, Tako, but that header is kind of ugly... ._.

The actual one or the one that is the color of vomit and watermelon?
This is the actual one:

Much better, you should remove the gunshot, though.

The gunshot makes it more interesting.
It doesn't look like a gunshot though.

What about Bejeweled? Tron (the snake game)? Space Invaders?
(These aren't classic board games, but I think they could be played well in EE with no chat commands)

Sorry about the delay guys. I'm in a phase where I don't feel like doing anything productive on the internet.
When you've all forgotten about this project I'll finish it, how does that sound? Sounds good.

Not sure if someone already posted this, but Othello is a very fun, simple, strategical game.
Maverick: Started up on a 6, when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.
