Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I am starting a new project - a bot called GameFlex.
In a nutshell, it will reproduce classic board games in EE levels. There will be several different games that one can switch between and play with other people by invite only.
This will be fed primarily by you, the community. Post suggestions of new games, efficient methods, or any type of comment on my Tumblr.
I will post progress here as I accept new ideas and suggestions.
Concepts:
Tournament option?
High-scores for each game?
Universal high-scores?
Different game wins worth more/less points?
Running 24/7?
Use protected DropBox to let people run bot when they want?
Host can give control to other members?
Planned features:
World will be great, varying in size depending on game.
Queue in case someone wants to reserve a game while someone else is playing.
Separate level for queue.
Reduce chat-based commands as much as possible, for fun and non-chat users.
Variable block speed.
Private level option.
Controlled by host, the person who created the game.
Chess.
Battleship.
Features under construction:
Setup for Battleship
GUI
Battleship code infrastructure
Build the board
In-game commands
Done features:
Connect to a level
Construct a banner
Tons of tiny things like storing player information, storing world information, and filtering chat messages.
Estimated completion date for Battleship: February 28th. Plenty of time to get your suggestions in.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Risk
I've never played Risk, but it does seem fun.
It's also, from what I gather, a very long and therefore a very complicated game. If more people think this should be implemented, then it shall.

Monopoly, uno could be interesting (not a board game but fun none the less), battle ship.

Parcheesi.
Clue. If it is possible?
Scrabble and Go seem like fun games, they would be easy to implement too.
I'm not really into playing board games, but I think my favourite is Carcassone
Risk
yes, yes!

I was making a connect four bot a couple months ago. That was my "secret bot project". I'm sure you could create it a lot better, though. Nice idea, have fun!

A couple people want Risk then. I might make it.

Reversi / Othello
Go

Monpoly

I'm a huge fan of KMine and Wine Mine. Stupid Microsoft had to steal their ideas.

Oh, most definitely.

I have decided I will start with Battleship and Chess. I will begin the project this weekend, and hopefully have Battleship done by the end of the month. It is fairly simple, but I want it to be perfect.
I still want a million ideas to choose from, so by all means continue suggesting. Preferably on my Tumblr, as it is much more organized and efficient. If you don't have an account, just put it in my Ask box.
On top of game suggestions, I am looking for setup suggestions. I want there to be little to no chat-based commands. Since chat is 3 USDs now, I don't suspect a lot of new users will be buying it, and the last thing I want to do is make this level exclusive to the minority.
What does "setup" mean, in this level? Well, take Battleship for example. If you want to put a Battleship starting at A7 and facing left, how would you tell the computer that without words? I already have an idea in mind, but I'm sure many of you have a more efficient way.
That is what I want you to suggest. New games and more efficient methods of playing those games.

I also changed the title from "Your favorite board game? - for bot GameFlex" to "GameFlex - Submit ideas".
(Changing the title is available to anyone however often you need to, by the way.)

Oh, that'd be great. Maybe create some borders and board background? Preferably 132x132. Thanks :>

for chess?

for chess?
Either.
Chess would need: brown/black and white pawns, rook, knights, bishops, kings, and queens. If you're feeling classy you could probably make a subtle texture for the tiles and a wood border, like this.
Battleship would need: Aircraft carrier (5 tiles long), Battleship (4 tiles long), submarine and destroyer (3 tiles long), patrol boat (2 tiles long). The background can just be a repeating pattern of water and the border can be anything you want, like maybe metal with dials and things.
For both, you don't need to duplicate the board itself. You can make individual things and I can tile them. Tiles should be around 10x10, but if that looks too big/small adjust it as necessary.
Don't feel pressured into making all of this. I will be making my own versions, but if yours are better I will steal them.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.
