How can I draw water at a top view? (Where the surface is visible)

At the moment I'm making a level with a view of water from an angle that shows the surface of the water. I can make water the a side view but I'm really struggling with this kind of angle, because I have to use reflection. I think if I ignore using shape reflection, it will still look realistic, so I'll just reflect the light (I mean with lighting and shading), but I'm not sure how to even do that.

Help?

You could probably use this picture:
ducksinapond.jpg
to give you some ideas. That's an old level Bee made 1 or 2 years ago.

Thanks, but I'm looking for something more bright and less marshy.

The problem is, I'm using basic blue as the initial colour that I'm drawing over, but there aren't many blocks that are similar to it.
