Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Or even a new idea.
But then again it's your choice, there are multiple shifts out there already plus not even that hard to make. Make it more interesting or even just change the idea all together.
If you would like me to make a bot for you, go here.

EX Crew Shift has been gone for a long time. The only other shift I've seen is one RubixGuy and Legacy ran. Yet, none of them really provided a great way to submit maps. This is all automated (except for final verification). The concept isn't really overused, and a lot of the new players haven't seen it. No, it's not original, but there are no active levels and it doesn't deserve to die off completely.
Offline
It may have died off because more interesting new ideas have surfaced. No one wants to play an old idea that will never compare to the old shift bot that once made this game interesting and fun. The reason why everyone loves the old shiftbot was not simply because of the concept but because it was new, it was made by ex crew, and there were hundreds of levels made by EX crew and some made by the community. Not many users will submit levels nor will be interested. If you make your own spin off where there are interesting twists then yeah the idea may survive but then again how long will that last? This game is mainly just 12 year olds with small attention span. (Not meaning to offend anyone, i don't have a large attention span either) A game like this will be fun for a few minutes but doesn't have anything to hold them there. Yeah maybe wanting more wins than others but what happens when someone comes in and completely destroys and wins every round? That's 6-7 minutes just wasting to end up losing. Maybe if it was an elimination type thing where there were a series of rounds that change and there were ways to jump ahead of others, set others back. Even slow others down(Using a method of your choice). Then yeah. That would be a blast. But as is. Shift is an idea that should be left where it is because it's not original and won't match up to the once loved level.

Fair enough, I might expand upon it but I can't go overly complicated if I'm allowing public map submissions.

You could introduce what will be this Shiftbot.
This is a false statement.

Honestly, I loved Shift. I don't mind another Shift-like bot being out there, as there are currently no active ones. However, I agree with Tako. At least change the name.

you could call it shifting bot, that works

For what name? Shiftbot is the best name found.
This is a false statement.

no, it would be the best name if it was original
no, it would be the best name if it was original
It's the same name, you just turned it as verb.
This is a false statement.

verb =/= noun
You could put portals between a series of minigames and call that a shift; automating a mini building process isn't a concept that can be considered 'owned' by the person who thought it up and made it a reality. So frankly, "shiftbot" is just the name given to certain feature, and if it best describes what a bot does, there's nothing wrong with using it as a label.
Ex Crew Shift was only ever as good as its minis, and I'm sure people can still make em.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.
Offline
Well, regardless. Map submissions are open if anyone wants to make a level. All the information needed is available on the website. You're right, it's only as good as it's minis. Hence, we've made it easy to add them.

Just saying i would like to play something like this again. But please. Make them easy. :b And fast.

There's even more digbots bro then shiftbots. Shiftbots take more time to create with digbots. Maybe you haven't seen our online world uploader tool. It is way more interesting than digbots. It died off because people didn't know how to code it. Why should it be left alone? It was a great level. Shiftbots are WAY more original than digbots. Everyone onced loved Floddy's digbot yet there are millions of copies.
Hypocrite much?
You may have a point at the end, and we will try something but we will see how this plays out.
In my humble opinion, I think you shouldn't copy EX crew's idea so blatantly. At least change the name.
I don't see a problem with keeping the name "Shift". I have also asked Nou a long time ago about creating one. He said "lol go ahead." I'm not sure if that was sarcastic or not, but that's what he said.
Just saying i would like to play something like this again. But please. Make them easy. :b And fast.
Good to hear, I'll be sure to throw in a couple easier ones.

Well, map submissions are still open and will continue to be so. We only have two so far... we'll probably get together to make a few before opening. It might help to get some exposure before people make maps.

EDIT: 10
EDIT2: 17 amazing
EDIT3: 26! Woah this is great!

Emalton, start weeding out the bad levels now :3 I think there are enough submissions! Start off by removing:
-Get your Gold
-Going up up up
-Ima cookie eat me 3
-TROLOLOLOLO
-That Thing
-That Other Thing
-The Arc
-The Blue Machine
-The Fiery Path
-The Million Dollar
-The temple
-An Ordaniary Day
-g3 Temple Shift v2
These are the ones that are extremely hard and no one ever beats, and they just waste time. Later, you can eliminate more that are kind of noobish !
Suggest for noobish level deletes:
-Darkness maze
-Black Shift
-STAIRS
-Yo Scrolls Shift

Blackspider's levels are the best, i saw levels that is only hookjumps and races.
This is a false statement.
Offline
@Creature -.- This level is supposed to be a race level... that's what shift's all about. The hookjump ones are better than blackspider's because at least the average player can do them in less than 15 seconds, whereas blackspider's minis are 30 hour ragefests - no one ever beats them.
