Quest of 4 elements

NOTE: not sure where to post. this level isn't under construction but needs lil edits if you want to move this post go ahead

Many of you will know this lvl : quest of 4 elements.

We of AJ crew are very proud that we've made this level and that it is popular.
But we want to aim for perfection.

The question to you all: what do you like about this level and what should you change.

The more feedback we get the better we can make this level

We also have one specific question. we have some space nest to the air but we dont know how we could fill it in. we've tried the text: try out doom adventure, 100% tested, try out our other levels and now we have our names there.

What would you do with that space?

Ok. Before I begin I apologize ahead of time if I sound mean.

To me the level was terrible. I'm going to go off the assumption you are new, and so I'll try not to be to harsh.

Negatives

The whole "4 elements" idea has been done many times, and I've seen better. I thought the minigames were easy, and the art was unoriginal.

The minigames were just average mingiames I see in almost every level I play, they weren't challenging and they weren't new. I've seen them all before. ALSO!! THERE WERE TOO MANY HOOKJUMPS! It was so annoying, if you take ANYTHING out of this please do LESS hookjumps.*rant over*

The art is what really bugged me. If you want to make a professional level USE ORIGINAL ART! The mario and the pokemon could have easily been copied from google, and I've seen them everywhere in lame art levels and such. I also thought the parts you did do could have used more shading as it was mostly solid colors.

Lastly I'm not sure if the level was tested but I had an issue. After I beat the air I went to do the water one, but accidentally fell into the earth one and I had to do it all over again. You should fix that so if someone accidentally falls in who already did it, they don't have to do it again

Positive

A few things I liked were the pre-game minis. You had to do some minis before the actual game.

I liked how some minis had more than 1 solution

I liked the different text styles for different elements.

i believe we were the first one to come up with that (at least as far as i know) but there were many copies afterwards. I cannot change that

It was our first level and we decided to make it easy for us as a start and it was kinda our theme/style for that level. i can understand that it bugs you. our new levels will be more realistic (The DOOM adventure is better art-wise)

it was tested like 6 times but we've never thought of that. i've fixed this issue. i hope this is better now

Your welcome, and I see the doom level as your signature, it does look better, and don't be afraid to do hard minigames. The way I see it is anyone can do easy minis, but only good players can do hard ones.

yeah that was our discussion too. i make the minigames but when i make them my sister thinks they are too hard so we edit them to make them easier. one way you are right hard games are fun to play;) but it also makes many ppl to ragequit:( and we want to make popular lvls

A good way to prevent that is to use the forums. People who use the forums are generally the kind of people who play games till the end, no matter how hard they are. See there's too kinds of popular:

1. Top of the level list popular

2. Forums popular

Let's put levels on scale. Bottom being stairs, top being something made by MX or EX crew. Stair levels are always at the top of the level list, but that does not mean they are good. MX crew levels are not always at the top of the list, but I can find them on the forums, and I would much rather play them because know they make awesome levels, and because they are popular on the forums.

I think your level is in the middle. You are better than stairs, but not THE best. Seeing your current levels though shows you are willing make original levels, even if it requires more effort. If you want to be popular it is better to be forum popular, because if people like you that much they will play your levels even when no one else is in it. Like I said before people who ragequit because they cannot win are not good players, players who play till the end and make it past all the challenges are great players. It is much better to have levels played by great players, than not good players. Hope this helps

We checked many fire lvls for inspiration but we didn't copy anything brick by brick. Snoekerrt did it her way she thought it was the nicest lava stream. Probably it is the nicest as ex crew uses it too

yeah ... notive the feedback of failgirl and my reply please give us better feedback instead of just saying the lvl is crap

i agree with failgirl. put more work into your minis and make better art. also pick another theme. click my siggy to play an example of a good level with a good theme. it still has terrible art .

lavos has nothing to do with lava!!! look at his true form

as you can see in the second pic, hes in some blue thing that looks like water
