Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Lol I've been trying to get into the level for a while now in order to "inspect" them... and why's one of the castles on fire?
And my guess for the keys:
Since 200x400=80,000, I'm going to say.... 27,000.
Poorly made challenges and you have to re-do the same thing over and over again....... and after that I get stuck
WARNING NOOB LEVEL; I would say

Good looking art, but poor challenges.
overall: 6/10

Lol sadly I couldn't get in after they replaced the sun, otherwise I could've gone over everything to make sure there were no places to get stuck. However, don't knok it til you try it; I'm sorry you got stuck, but you only played one part of the level (the first tree), out of a helluva lot more. So rather than taking brash action and calling it a "NOOB LEVEL," I would really appreciate it if you could see that you're the noob.

How can you possibly call something a 'noob level' because we had to switch to it last-minute and add half of what you see in three days? Yeah, there are going to be bugs, but it's probably loads better than anything you could do.

JadEl, to be honest, I haven't seen ONE map made by Johan that is worse than this. I am not saying this is bad, I'm just sayin' that Johan is one of the best gameplay designers in EE.
Personally I think the art in this is above average, while the challenges could use improvement in terms of how fun they are to play. It's not a "noob level", but it has got some of the classic faults a "noob level" would have - like being able to get stuck. You've probably fixed those few errors now though.
I fixed all bugs.
johan, it's offensive how you take one look at it and call it a noob level. I don't care how good you are at making levels. This definitely shows immaturity.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Sorry guys, but the keys really held you back. By using keys, you were limited yourselves to not being able to use gravity arrows. Thus, the challenges were kind of bland and mostly involved jumping at the right time or just making an extremely long jump. Also, no one likes hook jumps. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but there was a hook jump near the beginning.
After conquering the hook jump, I missed the next jump, and had to trek through the entire beginning of the level again (plus the hook jump) to try again. Also, there was a lot of backtracking in the portion of the level I played. I kept having to do the same thing multiple times. Then I got stuck and quit.
I think this could've been a lot more fun if you had just ditched the keys, and focused more on making the level playable than artistic. I don't [teehee]mean to sound mean[/teehee]; I just think that focusing on the minimap (omg, I'm agreeing with Jakey) hurt the playability of the level. Darn keys.
On a lighter note, the art was excellent. By the way, I actually liked the peeps, especially the one that was dusting the golden egg at the top of the screen. I don't know why everyone else disliked them. The peeps added some life to the art. Hopefully the peeps were there when Chris copied the level over to the server, because I think they'll help you.

Nice level, amazing art, except a bit the falling eggs, they don't look much like eggs...
Keys: 40.000

And I haven't seen ONE of Johan's maps, nor ever heard of him before, so his bit of "austere advice" could only be taken poorly. The moral of this conflict: don't sound like a noob, don't act like one.
It's kind of funny how every single one of you are complaining about something which the sun caused. Perhaps it shouldn't have been moved

Yeah, it USED to be a path, but SOMEONE (shift) made it into a hook-jump.
And, I disagree. Hook-jumps ARE annoying when used a lot. There is 1 hook jump in the entire level.
And as far as ditching keys goes, I like the keys. A black sky is a little depressing, dontya think?

I didn't make the hookjump, I added a key block through it o.0

Too bad that you haven't seen one single map made by Johan, as I have said, they are really great! Sure he's way of advising may seem a little austere, but it did get Takoman to look for errors - and fixing that problem. Doesn't that at least prove the advice to be working?
And what's so wrong about noobs? And how does a noob sound? Do they sound sarcastic? In that case, Johan did sound like the biggest noob in noob history.
All hail noob Johan!
Lol "austere" is such a weird word, but I just had to use it :3
Anyway, I think a noob sounds like a know-it-all who probably knows nothing, and, under the circumstances, that's what I thought of Johan. I can be overly defensive at times... and competitive...
It's okay. Only replied 'cause uh.. don't want to mention his name.. wanted to read another flame war. Personally my definition of how a noob sounds, is it's core definition - like a newbie.
And I gotta use that more often. Austere. It's such a lovely word! Thank you for bringing it into my vocabulary.
Edit: As they have picked the winners and such now:
Hope for the best!

Nice level! Good work guys!
Keys in all map I think is above 60.000 keys!
-.-
So the fixes won't even go into the judged copy? That's pretty much the sole reason I thought we may not make it into the top 10, possibly the top 5 ;-;

It depends on when he fixed them. The last of the levels were copied over to the private judging server the day after the deadline.
By the way, thank you, correiajoao.
Okay. If any of you have even put enough effort in to get to the palace, you'd see alot better gameplay. I told them that the keys would make it suck, but they didn't think so. Supadorf, so what if there is one hookjump in the level. And you can easily jump over it by running along the leaves.
Yeah, lol, you could easily blast right past that coin door. Of course, you'd get stuck at the next one...
-.-

When I entered the level, there was that one castle, the palace, the sun in the corner, and all that.
Over the next 2 or 3 days, we added the castles, birds, and sun movement, which caused 3 or 4 bugs.
I'm fairly certain he judged the current version, because I saw EDJ doing his judging directly from the list, in the order they were added.
I don't even think it's possible to judge a previous version of a level.
In conclusion, either way, there are no bugs and the art is amazing. The entered version is OK with no bugs, and the current version is awesome with no bugs. I don't see why they would judge the level randomly like that.
(I know EDJ judged the current level)

I played the levels when they were submitted and again after the deadline
