Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Metroid 1986

It's finally finished... the level I started here:
http://eeforumify.com/viewtopic.php?id=5288

This level is a map based on the original Metroid for Nintendo. This is also the first of my real attempts at level creation that I've actually finished.

The world is very nonlinear, but I did throw in a bunch of breadcrumbs to keep you going in the right direction... for a while. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Re: Metroid 1986

Great work. I like how it actually imitates the actual game.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Metroid 1986

@ninjaboy That's how the original Metroid was. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile As for map art, it's not really a high priority for me. Anyway, I'm glad you generally liked the level.

(What do you mean by "traps"... that I have traps and I shouldn't, or I don't have traps and I should?)

@EDJ Yeah, something's wrong. I can't get in right now either.

@TakoMan02 Thanks. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: Metroid 1986

I thought it was enjoyable as a platforming map but the challenges were repetitive. I liked the feel of the map and how it was never too easy to get lost (although I still managed to). I also liked the way the Metroids sucked you in. I've never played the original Metroid, so I can't judge the level on its likeness to Metroid, but I'll just take your word for it. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink
