Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

That's right, I'm finally releasing my own level! First may I say that I'm an artist, not a minimaker, although the minis turned out pretty well. This is the first level that I completed on my own, so I put a lot of effort into it.
You wake up to find yourself lost deep in a forest, and when you climb to the top, you see nothing but trees for blocks and blocks. But then, out of the corner of your eye, you glimpse a red glow, emanating from a familiar city, and begin your trek. You fight your way through the forest, collecting tools (coins) to help you on your journey, as you dive into the trees, push through great winds, launch yourself at lightning, and navigate a vast meteor, all in the hopes that one day you will be able to rejoin society, and claim your crown.
Warning: Most people find the level very hard. However, it's still possible.
Also, shout out to greenzoid2 for making one of the minis and for testing!
+Rep for winners!

Great Level! ^^
Hi Shift! We both got recruited on the same time, remember? =3
My view on your level:
I love the trees, great shading and color use in the tree and leafs. You really did a good job there. But I also see some flaws, please don't take them to hard cause they don't really matter =3. The sun isn't round, you could use several programs to see how you can get it round, but how it is now looks OK with the rest of the art. The buildings are suddenly there, if you'd ever change it in some way you could make some sort of a distance between the tree and the buildings. The clouds are nice, but wrong shaded. The sun reaches the clouds in the down middle, so according to that the shade has to be upside down. And lightning always strikes on the highest point, so it has to hit the tree =3
And again, don't take my criticism to hard cause it is a good world.
Nicely done =3
I am a mainly art person, SO....
Clouds: Very nice overall, but the clouds BEHIND the other ones should be darker..
Trees: No complaints, very nice ;D
Meteor: Nice, BUT try not to make it too uniform, you know, like more squiggly, and use more reds.
Lightning: NICE
Rating (art) 8/10

I was aware of the sun, of course, but every time I tried to fix it, it just looked worse, so I decided not to bother. The very first building is supposed to be melded into the last tree, I'm sorry if that's not clear. It was supposed to be like a hybrid tree/building. As for the clouds, wow, I never thought of that, you're right! I'll have to fix that soon. About the lightning, however, I knew it should hit the trees, but then I would have to make fire, and all that, so I decided to make it as if the lightning didn't yet hit the tree, but will.

The clouds in the back should probably, be darker, so I'll have to fix that when I re-shade them as per Phenomenon. As for the meteor, well, I tried giving it a fancier tail, but it looked stupid, and I don't think there are any more reds left...
Anyway, thanks for commenting everyone! I don't have time to fix the stuff right now, but I will soon.
TECHNICALLY EDIT: Yes, I deleted and re-posted this in order to bump my topic.
Very nice: 7.5 / 10
Although, in complete honesty, I don't think it's an entirely original concept. For an art+minigame level, it's awesome; but there are SO MANY art+minigame levels that I'm starting to get sick of it.
Don't get me wrong, you obviously put a lot of time and effort into this, and it's very nice. It's just the overused concept of art and minigames that I'm getting tired of.
I'm telling you this because I see potential in your work. I don't want your levels to be like everyone else's.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Wait wait wait... you want a level that doesn't have both art and minis together? What..? Okay, so you want one or the other? That's the only option, and I use the word "option" loosely.
And I never said its original. Just the fact that it's a forest makes it unoriginal.
The art is the best thing with this map, and the minis aren't bad too, but I got stuck on this part
Art rate:9
I still don't get that half tree and half house thing :s

Art and/or minigames aren't your only options for a level. Like EX's shift, and Muffin's Key Catastrophe. They have minigames, yes, but the gameplay is entirely different, in a good way.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I'm still not following you, Tako. You want minis that you play with a slight twist, like the timing in EX's shift, or the changing keys in key catastrophe? They're just two types of minis. With a serious art level, you can't have key blocks floating all over, and sorry, but I don't have a bot. I know those were just examples, but the point stands.
And Addi, I'm sorry you got stuck, that part is pretty difficult. I had to put that ugly little sign there (and on the other side) as a minor help, though it hardly ever works. I could walk you through it, but I haven't been on there much.

Yeah, they're "just two types of minis", but what makes them unique? HOW you play it.
That's what gameplay is, HOW you play the level. In levels like yours, it's minigame trial & error, move on the the next minigame, trial & error, move on to the next minigame, trail & error so on and so forth.
Original gameplay consists of concepts never seen before, and THAT is what I love to see in levels.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.
