Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

This thread that EE Beast started made me think...
...and after a bit of programming, I can happily present to you my fourth room.
It is called "Speed Run 1" and it can be played here.
What makes this room special?
That it keeps track of how fast players finish it.
Several scripts are used to create (ImageMagick's import) and upload (sftp using expect) the screenshots, display the scores (PHP), and operate the bot (xdotool).
You get 3 minutes. (That's sufficient, although the first couple of times you may not make it in time.) If you're still playing after 3 minutes, all blue coin doors will open and you drop down. You need to get all 10 coins. If you got 1 or more coins, you need to leave and rejoin the level, or a portal will send you to the start. Do not jump when you are on the red start and stop blocks. I have a dedicated machine running the code and will check on it from time to time, to see if everything is still working properly. Have fun playing!
[Edit: daniel1234 just 111 seconds... that's very impressive!]

I have permanently left the game and forum.
EE is an entertaining game and I enjoyed playing it...
...but it's time for me to move on.

Oh, this is too hard!
I must say I did not enjoy the hookjumps or the tightfits but its a wonderful design and idea though.
Update: jaa is currently on place 1 with just 109 seconds.
I will keep the bot in the room for 12 more hours.
Then I will add a link to the code that I've used for this little project to this thread (so anyone who is interested can check what exactly I used/did) and remove the bot, then close the room.
I may create another speed run level in the future.

I like this. Havent got 1st place.
nice
I'm glad some of you like the idea, and that some folks tried to better their own scores several times.
I've removed the bot and closed the room.
I will add a link to the code I used to this thread in about an hour or so.

(Double posting, so people who are interested in checking the code don't miss this post.)
The code can be downloaded here.
The code is for GNU/Linux systems. (7-Zip can open .tar.gz files under Windows.)
I will start a new thread on the Level Creation board to discuss some ideas I have to improve the code for a new room (Speed Run 2).
