Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Enjoy!
I haven't added music to this yet. Other than beeps for every time the ball hits a surface, there isn't any music on the original Breakout game. I could just add those "beeps" if no one else has any better suggestions. There are 70 frames in total.

That is amazing.
How easy is this stuff? I want a try.

Well you need a tonne of portals and a Great World. Other than that, you need to be passionate about it because it takes up far too much time. Make sure you have a good idea in mind before you start because otherwise it's a huge waste.
In terms of the engineering of it, experiment with different portal formations to alter the speed either with arrows or not, then when you've worked out a comfortable speed, you need to work out where the frame actually shows on the screen so just loop one set of portals forever. Mark it out and then you have a single frame.
More advanced techniques (like in this one) include overlapping the frames, so the borders of each frame overlap being 3 pixels wide. This was enough to manage to fit 70 frames in instead of 60.
Pacman was probably the hardest level to engineer because it involved creating the entire bottom half of the Pacman grid separately.
The other thing is working out things like how fast the ball has to move (in this one) or how fast stars should be passing (in Nyan Cat).
If you do embark on a project and do it well, it's highly rewarding because it looks epic.
I'm not an animator or an artist "irl", I'm just a musician, but I like to think I have a creative logical mind.
