Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

TBF - The Builders Foundation

3KWiO.png

Welcome to "The Builders Foundation"!   Instead of just being a regular crew, we are more of a group, of open collaborators, anyone can start a map, and have any of it's individual members help out on it.   However, there is a certain aspect behind it, where Experienced players try to help teach the inexperienced players how to better design maps.   We want to have releases, on a steady basis, eventually.   There is no max limit on how many members can join in, and we don't just have one specific leader.   Normal crews fail to function if it's leader is absent, so instead, we have a Council of members, that approve maps, to have the Foundation's name on it.   Pretty much, as long as the map isn't complete crap, and is as good as it can be, without losing it's original idea, we will release it.

We don't plan on doing a million maps of just art-with-minis inside it.   We will also accept more mini-based maps, pieces of great art, races, zombie maps, and even bot-assisted maps.
There are three main branches, which I will explain, from the bottom, to the top, what their role is:

Inexperienced Builders:
Actively tries to learn from Experienced
Can Start Maps.

Experienced Builders:
Teachers Inexperienced players
Can learn from other experienced players.
Can Start Maps.

Council:
Approves maps (at least two should see the map before it is approved)
Teaches Inexperienced players
Can start maps

------------------------------------------------

Other Information:
Koto isn't the only user with this profile.
We will ask you to be a council member.
There will never be a TBF team in the event of an EE contest.
You cannot be in both Experienced and Inexperienced, but that doesn't mean that Experienced can't still learn more.
If you claim you are experienced in something, we will check your profile, to make sure.   If you aren't given something you signed up with, that means that we think you still could grow a bit more.

We might have dozens of members all creating maps, that may eventually be released under "The Foundations" name, and they will get their credit, and it won't just all go to one main person, as is the problem with most crews nowadays.   The main thing about this is, by having "The Builders Foundation" name connected to the map, will be a way of promoting the map.

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

Why so many reserved spots? And I would like to join.

EDIT: Do I need to tell you anything else about my skills, or anything?

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

We don't have a limit on how many members we will accept.   Also, we may see alot of map releases.   We wanted plenty of room, more than we will probably ever need, just in case.

Ooh, also, would you mind if I created a logo inside and out of EE?

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

Could I join? It sounds fun!

So basically experienced players will join with inexperienced and make maps? (Just to make sure I'm getting the gist of it)

EDIT: I guess I'm an experienced player, my forte is art.

Like buzzer said, do i need to say anything else about what I'm good at?

Say whether you're experienced/inexperienced, and say what you're good at. (Minis? Bots? Art? Music? Other?)

e.g.

I'm an experienced player. My fortes are minigames and bots.

EDIT: Also, do you think you could capitalise the B in my name? "BuzzerBee" not "Buzzerbee"

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

^Thanks, I added it to my post.

ALSO, "Mr600444" asked me to post for him, because he doesn't want to sign up for the forums..

He would like to join. He "wants help making good maps". He would like to be signed up under inexperienced players

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

Can I be a counsel? If not, can I be an experienced player?

Edit: I'm good at giving advice for art (but not actually making it), and good at testing minis.

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

Testing does not count, and for experienced, you have to be good at actually making it.   We won't accept people wanting to be a counsel member, we will ask YOU.

Ok, but I'm also good at making them, so ask me if you want to.

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

I created a logo. It's not spectacular, but it's a nice logo, I guess.

Hope you like it.

As far as I know, anyone can join. Just use the format I provided for Pyromaniac to make it easier on KOTO.

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

I would like to join. I am experienced (that is the rank I wish to take) at minigames, but pretty bad at art.

Re: TBF - The Builders Foundation

Add me as a council.

lololol

In all seriousness, if I had the bother to make a good level, I'd be able to do that easily.

I can create art both from scratch or being given a guideline.
The same with mini-games. If you need a certain difficulty, then I'll be able to create something in a jiffy.

However, the best part about me, is my imagination.
I can think up a brief, original level scenario in a half-jiffy, if need be.

I gave JR2 an idea for a level a few weeks ago as a project away from the UBC. That idea, being two pirate ships invading each other for one another's treasure. I wonder how that's going with 'em.

Put me wherever you feel comfortable.

**And no, I cannot create bots or hacks or whatever - despite my username being GadgetGeek.
I was a fan of Inspector Gadget, alright? That's all.
