I've been pretty patient, with the updates. And pretty lenient too, but now I'm starting to get fed up with this stubbornness. Every week the updates get worse, and no one even ATTEMPTS to do anything to make it better (meaning mods) and now this week (and I don't mean this to be rude), but they a release a smiley that displeases me, because I am an atheist.

Put in magic coins fine.
Put in woots whatever.
Lock my smilies (I'm level 11 so not doing much there)

But keep religion out of the game please! It's a flash game, not a church. I don't have anything against religious people, you know do you want you want on your own, but keep it away from me.

My first thought when I saw the new potion: No... never... this will ruin the game!
A LOT of worlds will have potions disabled now (less potions used -> more energy left -> less gems bought)
Glad I have never bought any potions.

A good thing might be to always allow aura potions, and any other potion that doesn't affect movement and might be released somewhere in the future.

About the new smiley, I don't care, I have my beta smileys and they are my favorite.
Since the cake was added, I wanted an option to disable smiley-changing blocks.
Anyone else here who always closes the 5 free woots to give away popup instead of clicking thanks?

Well still not to this extent. I mean as far as Angels and Demons go, though they are associated in heaven and hell, it seems that they have been taken out of context and played around with so often it doesn't bother me as much (same with templar, thought I just consider it more of a knight than a templar.)

Christmas I don't mind because I don't view it as a religious holiday, just moreover a time when I can get together with my family and relax instead of stressing about school.

But the newest smiley looks just like a christian/catholic pope which upsets me because I am not a religious person. I'd prefer to gaming and religion separate if the mods don't mind.

(Also again, I feel the need to say, THIS IS NOT BECAUSE I HATE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE, I just don't like religion in itself. There is a difference.)

Well, I guess the smiley sorta fits the theme.   Evil that isn't fictional.

Potions just seem even more useless than they were before.   I don't think many people want to pay to beat a level.

You know there is such a thing as freedom of speech / freedom of beliefs etc... right?

Most Atheists support and fight for secularism. The whole point of being secular is to appreciate all peoples beliefs. Not to discriminate against religion!

This is a public game, it can invite both religious and irreligious people. And the game can have both religious and secular smileys.

More to the point, this is only a game!   To complain against a smiley because it is religion-based is ludicrous.

It is not ludicrous! As an atheist I can speak on my own behalf, as well as though whom are not.

I just dislike the update, because I don't want people trying to convert me saying "You have sinned because you don't believe in the lord", or something of the sort. I am a perfectly sane and well person, and I don't want religious people knocking on my door.

I think it's fine for people to have their own beliefs. I am not hating on anyone person for having their own beliefs.

I just don't want to mix religion and EE. The new smiley, though it is called a Bishop, looks extremely similar to a Christian/Catholic pope, and as such I refuse to buy it, and furthermore will not support it. (No matter how unimportant it may seem to everyone else, it matters to me.) You don't have to like or even appreciate my opinion, but that is just my opinion as an atheist and I do not give a bad name to atheists.

Just personally, as an Atheist myself as well, i don't mind having religious smileys in the game. I don't think users are suddenly going to turn into preachers while playing Everybody Edits.

I wouldn't want to restrict smiley ideas based on my own lack of belief. It's only a bit of fun for me, and i actually find the smiley quite funny. And i'm sure other people will think the same religious or irreligious.

Ah well. Each to there own!

Well, it's just than I feel really strongly when it comes to my beliefs (yes I consider atheism a belief), and so I generally try to avoid the subject if possible.

I don't think the smiley should be in the game, and that's just my personal opinion and it doesn't have anything to do with anyone in particular.

Maybe some people are more accepting, or maybe not. Maybe someone else has a problem too but no one else wants to speak up. And so, for those who think like I (which may even not be anyone else on the forums), I say be gone to the new bishop smiley.

I play videogames to escape real life.   I don't like religion being pushed into my face when I'm trying to have fun.   It just reminds me of how corrupt religion is.   It's infecting our videogames now.

The Bishop smiley isn't a specific person, though.   Having an "Athiest" smiley would be a better comparison.

Also, Bishop smiley reminds me of a mushroom head.   Kind of like a toad from Mario.   I will not buy a smiley of real-life evil.

EDIT: I only speak negatively of religion because of all the hate it teaches.

To be honest, I may joke about it, but I don't care if a smiley is slightly religious.   I'm from the U.S. and we have in god we trust on our money, and I'm atheist.   I don't see a point in complaining about it, I really don't care about it.

I've known 11 year olds more mature than people like you.   Stop associating young with whiny brat.

It doesn't matter what the dimensions are.   It's there and exists.   It stands for religion.   Something that should not be in a game.

I don't think Christmas is much of a religious holiday.   If I remember correctly, Jesus wasn't even born on Christmas.   A more accurate name would be Xmas or Holidays for videogames which have been used though Christmas has as well.   I think that's just a minor mistake by Shoe, though, much like how he keeps saying "he" and "him" when talking about people in his blog, as if women don't exist.

I don't think religious people would like having an "Athiest" smiley in the game.   Why is there a Bishop smiley?   It's a pokerface mushroom smiley.

EDIT: This is kind of our point, bringing religion into a game causes problems.   And here we are, arguing which is a problem.

Okay, so you know that it says God on "our" money and pledge (not national anthem).   But do you know why?   Maybe you should check that out.. I do question how you can mix up the anthem with the pledge..

2. A smiley associated with religion, and I am talking about any smiley that is specific. Has no place in a game like this, particular since like, religion sucks bro
