That's probably because mods can't ban, and now they're admins so they can ban the authors of innapropiate posts

Dunno if there really would be a need for moderators here, since admins are just mods on steroids...
I guess maybe they'd promote someone to mod status to see if they can delete posts right before handing them admin access so they don't go ban-crazy.
