Official IRC Channel

Hi forums!

I'm pleased to announce we now have an official IRC channel. This is just a test period, we will see how it does.

Since I know that IRC can be confusing for some, I've taken the liberty of integrating the web client into the forums.

Try the channel out! THE IRC CHANNEL IS NO LONGER OFFICIALLY ACTIVE AT THIS TIME, USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK

You ought to register your nick so it can't be stolen by someone else.

Our rank system:

Me = ~ (Owner)
Forum admins = & (Protected ops)
Forum mods = @ (Ops)
Chat mods = % (Halfops)
Chat regulars = + (Voice)

I also have a bot in there, he's got Ops so if things get out of control, he can take care of the channel. (use !help to find out his command list, and he automatically translates text to English)

WARNING: Being chat, it has the potential to get inappropriate. DO NOT JOIN THE CHAT IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED.

For those of you with actual IRC clients, join irc.rizon.net:6667 on #eeforum
Enjoy, and remember, this is just a test period. We can deal with abusive users much better in IRC than in TinyChat.

Oh and since it has come up already, DO NOT ASK TO BE A CHAT MOD. I WILL BE THE ONE CHOOSING THEM, AND YOU WILL DISQUALIFY YOURSELF IF YOU ASK.

Lol, random typing got me registered.
Type /register.
In the box, type your desired email.
The next box asks for you to put a password for said nickname.
In your email, there will be a thing with some code.
Copy the entire line saying      /msg NickServ confirm *********
Paste it into chat window and post.
You're registered.

You need to severely cut down on the number of retards in that channel, seriously. Have a simple IQ test, and people with an IQ of under 40 won't be allowed in. Half the chat would be gone.

can't do password

Click on the drop down box that says "None" and select something then enter the password. Also there is no need for a password to join the chat.
