HOT WORLD

▼Difficulty & Information

Hot World is harder than Cold World. It took me multiple playtesting sessions to finish the entire thing.

Chapters 1~12 are a reasonable difficulty compared to Cold World. I hope they satisfy the usual fun of playing my style of minigames. Expect the usual minigames you see from me, with a few tricky ones and puzzles thrown in.

Chapters 13~16 should provide a satisfying final battle for veteran players who want one last challenge out of Everybody Edits.

I really wish I could watch you all playing my level like I would in the online version of Everybody Edits, but the game isn't up any more. So please let me know what you think in this thread.

Have fun in Hot World! Hopefully it keeps you busy for a while.

Very excited to play through this. I'll record my playthrough of this. I'll probably do nothing with it, but if I'm excessively bored one day I might edit it down so you can watch it and maybe get at least a taste of what it would've been like to see how people react to it were it released before EEO. thanks for actually sticking through and releasing it !

im stuck at chapter 6 and honestly it's going a bit downhill, but i haven't finished the world yet so maybe it'll get better

Yeah chapter 6 is kind of an unreasonable difficulty spike in places, it was actually terrible before i nerfed it, the difficulty goes back down at 7/8/9

I got softlocked around halfway. Turns out I skipped a coin here by doing this:

Yep. Difficulty scaling and me have a bad history...

LOL of course I can count on orangecrix to do some absolutely wild maneuver and get softlocked. That's what moderator mode is for... hahaa

I think I know how to fix that. It's kind of weird patching an offline level though, so I'll just take note of it and see if any other major exploits or problems come up and do them all at once.

I finished Hot World (kinda cuz I skipped some minis) and I'm gonna write a short review because why not!!! (im bad at it haha)
One thing I don't like is the confusion this world gives, often times I didn't know what to do or where to go. Another thing is the difficulty (or I'm just bad), it's really not balanced and it sucks lol. I really hate Chapter 16 btw.
My favorite chapter is probably Chapter 12, it's unique and it's just really fun to play. Others that I really like are chapter 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, and 15. The rest is just meh (not 16 though I despise it).

Overall I think Cold World is better, Cold World doesn't give much confusion, and I think the difficulty is just right, while Hot World's difficulty nearly made me dislike the world, it gives frustration instead of satisfaction.
Nice world anyway, good job for finishing it!!

Out of nowhere, comes Joey with a win on HOT WORLD! With a recorded 8500 deaths, because apparently he had some that weren't in this screenshot.

He is one of two winners of HOT WORLD, alongside OC who beat it twice:

once as a speedrun with only 2152 deaths!

And shoutouts to OC for this wonderful art it is said to have an abstract meaning!
