that's because anons aren't allowed to directly post images

otherwise it could be used to track who you are as an anon. I think. Having trouble piecing out how exactly.

When the entire forums are anon, they can't be. When anon is only on a few threads, you can match who's posting with who's online and after a few posts you've got em. If they post in an anon thread and a non-anon thread, then you can get their IP from the non-anon thread and match it to the anon thread.
