Remove Debate subforum

It's never been super active and it literally has two year old topics on the first page, it's just useless and cluttering the forums.

i think the obvious solution is to split it up between two new debate subforums. one for old debates and one for new debates. possibly even a third debate subforum for debates that exist outside of time

Data-wise there is value in keeping a distinction for Debates as it makes things more organized. Having fewer categories makes it harder to search through, so if anything I think there are cases to be made for more organization such as through tagging. Tagging could be made even more useful through the ability for users to change tags around like in a folksonomy.

one subforum doesnt clutter the forums 10 inactives will do on the other hand what about merging world creation wiht worlds then zoey? what about fourm bussiness? not active either and creative?

Suppose every subforum got merged into one. Would activity increase, outside of topics discussing the change?

I don’t think the main page is cluttered, or would become tidier by removing one subforum. This “let’s just nuke X” idea feels very Discord-y.

might aswell then keep it  hummerz what can 1 inactive subforum do as harm? nothing i get we coudl delte this if more subfroums become inactive heck maby we could kae subforums INSIDE subfroums like placing debates inside offtopic subforum so you open  offtopic and see the topic screated there but at the top the subforum debates this wya more subfourms cna be pput in anothe rone forum bussinees for exmaple is very inactive aswell can be 0put weither in game bussiness or in fourm disccussion

Or maybe just... archive the forum when EE decide to just kill itself? Like few days after the euthanising become official. The death is getting very near (as Lucy has been making progress on EEO evidently) and either this or the end of December. Might as well just prepare archiving the whole forum.

Clever. I should've just said "the type to use the debate subforum" because certainly we wouldn't just label all the remotely contentious topics as Debates and move them! That would just be silly.
