Mafia 42 - Game Thread - Day 4

- I'm not enforcing any rules on inactivity. That will be governed by the players.
- Day phases will be 72 hours, night phases will be 48; give or take depending on my schedule.
- My messages will be in this color. Do not use it, or I will be angry.
- All votes should be inside an h-tag. I'm not going to be strict about this, but not doing so could mean your vote gets missed.
- Don't do anything to **** off Tomahawk.
- If you're not a player, don't post here. If you're dead, don't post here.
- This is a game, don't be a **** to others.
- A lynch will occur when someone has collected a majority of votes. If no majority is met, no one will be lynched. If a majority is met, players may continue to post in the thread until it is locked.

This is my first time hosting a mafia game. I will probably make mistakes. PM me if I do, so I can fix them.

All night actions should be sent in a PM, including the mafia's.

Doctor
[Player Name], you are a Doctor.

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may protect one player from being night killed. You can only protect against one night kill per night. You cannot protect yourself.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Veteran
[Player Name], you are a Veteran.

Abilities:
You may choose to go on alert each night, three times in total. You will kill anyone who visits you while on alert.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Roleblocker
[Player Name], you are a Roleblocker.

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may choose one player to roleblock, preventing them from performing their night action. Your target will be told they were roleblocked.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Serial Killer

my first post was half joke, half admonishment to norboy -- if we just give up before the game even has a chance to start, what's the point in playing?

anyway i agree that peace seems to be reaching, could be him trying to solve the game based off like eight posts, but could also be him trying to hop on a perceived wagon

Are we going in order for this? Or can I claim now?

we're going order to prevent complaints/excuses like "i claim X, but Y posted first!" and to force the mafia to not counterclaim (because if we have two claims of a PR,  we just lynch on today, and the other the next day - depending on if we get the liar first or not)

thing is, he knew that everyone was going to claim

as mafia, he doesn't want to be forced into a losing scenario (all vt and scum identified in the same pool and just rolling the dice on the lynch order) so he fake claims to try to create confusion and potentially have more people claim than necessary

Btw, Mafia is pressuring me (Buzzerbee/Onjit) both claimed Vanilla townie despite not being Veteran/Doctor.

this sentece doesn't make sense

why would i claim veteran/doctor if the plan was for everyone to claim honestly?

I'm fine with being in the same pool as scum, because having only VTs or scum to lynch makes more game sense

so maybe you should have some introspection before you start calling people's gameplay "not smart enough" lmao

there are three vanilla townies in this game

its unlikely that me, buzz and 2b are all VT, but after you flip scum, everyone else will claim and we will have our pool of six potential lynch targets, and knock em off one by one (myself included)

as long as we follow the plan, town has an easy win

roles being revealed isn't necessarily a problem, as long as ALL roles are revealed, and EVERYONE has a chance to counterclaim

once we have a confirmed lynchpool of 3 VTs and 4 scum, can solve the game much easier
