Replies in PMs VS Replies in Topics are wrong!!
PMs count the first post as a reply.
Topics count only since the second post a reply.
Many make it universal that first post either is a reply or isn't?

yes because that is an issue so unbelievably urgent that you went as far as to make two threads about it
does it really matter that much, i mean, who even looks at the amount of replies, let alone in a PM???

I deleted the duplicate thread. They were identical, created a minute apart, but the other had no replies.
