Welcome to Mafia 24.
Rules
1. All forum rules apply, however multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. If you stay inactive too long or not contributing to discussion , you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours.
5. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
6. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
7. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
8. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
9. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
10. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
11. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

I'm gonna read the backlog for myself in a bit while I get situated into bed.
Today's the first day in a week and a half that I've gotten out of bed. I've been really sick the past few weeks and it's crippled the amount of time I could devote to real life things, and for a while I thought I wouldn't be able to commit myself to this game, which is why I didn't sign up in its initial stages.
Meanwhile, would someone catch me up to speed please?

Oh crap. What keeps me in touch with how mafia works is seeing JKNews cast play it. I don't think I've heard of the serial killer before. If there's a vigilante already, then I'm assuming he's a standalone then
If people are getting messages that they're being saved from something, then did someone get a message last night, too? If not, the only thing I can think of is that they both picked the same target at the same time. There wouldn't be anything incentivizing the serial killer to not kill anybody, would there be?

You said you got a protect message, right? I don't know how likely this is, but what if the Mafia did investigate you, and they went after you, and the serial killer went after Norwegianboy and found him purely out of luck?

I didn't request a replacement, I requested someone contact you guys and inform them that there was an emergency I had to tend to immediately, so I couldn't participate very much in the time before I came home

That's fine. I spoke with my messenger, they 100% gave the message correctly. Kind of disappointed with Railmat on that, but I'll move on. No, my position isn't changing, and yes I will still be able to participate. Today was just a very unfortunate day for me.

There's just the right amount of votes for peace right now, where nobody can punch it, but also enough to give him some pressure to make him give us something to work with. I'm not going to be removing my vote until I think there's substantial enough evidence to make me think there's someone more likely of being a bad guy.

It'd seem that the only way for either the SK or the Town to reach their win condition is by working together against the Mafia tonight, though I wonder how that's going to play out
MODMERGE: I'm worried about the SK though. They killed mutantdevle even though they knew that he's the classic cop.
MODMERGE 2: Okay sorry Tomahawk for the three layer post but the reason I assume that is because of the verbs used by Railmat.
Zumza has been shot in his home... mutantdevle would investigate someone, but he is killed instead.

I don't know. The SK could've possibly been choosing the same target as the Mafia every single night. I don't think that's too particularly likely, but maybe they wanted to play along with the Mafia to cut the numbers down, since their biggest threat is being lynched, but it's also possible that they chose not to nightkill looking to pin it on Luka and eventually me, seeing as to the position shifting so often would've been a good way to get heat off of their back.
If they chose to kill every night, then they must have been playing with the Mafia in mind. If they chose not to kill both those nights, then they must've only been thinking about themselves. I guess it doesn't matter either way, since it's up to them to decide the fate of this game.

I'm assuming the town doesn't have a killing role.The town can't win. Unless I'm overlooking something, the town is **** no matter what.
Don't think so, bub. They have to rely on me to keep you at bay, because if I'm not with them, they lose, and with me here, you can't win.

I was fishing for a Mafia member to jump out and exclaim that the SK is me and foolishly vote for me, which would reveal that they're the mafia and haven't yet realized that I have the power to save the town from the mafia, somewhat.
