User count vs User ID

Sorry if the title is a little ambiguous, but one thing I've noticed is that the amount of registered users is ≈ 2900. (according to the data in the bottom right corner)
Nothing out of place here, but I've noticed that the New user's ID's are reaching the 4000s...
Common sense tells me that whenever a new users registers the user count goes up and so should the ID.

Are there missing users or ID's? (p.s. this is not a question found on test papers)
Or does the system only include members who are not banned? Or users who have posted something? (I've noticed some ID's correspond to users who have never posted anything)

Users only count as "registered" once their account is totally verified. I think for the forums that means logging in the first time. Most of those accounts are bot-created, not real people.

most acoutn in th eusewrlist also hav eweird names never seen and have 0 posts most of em alos banned i think you shoudl clean that up a bit and remove the acount wiht 0 posts and hwihc ar ebanned or which are inactivety for longer thena year wiht 0 posts
