What happens if I leave a campaign world while dead?
I'm currently unable to respawn because of a bug, and I would be furious if I lose all my progress because of it.

I'm fairly sure it should be fine, or at least it shouldn't make it any worse...
Might want to take a screenshot of where you are first though, so just in case something does go wrong we can restore your progress manually...
