Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I've done Origami since the 5th grade, about 12-13 years. I self taught myself how to do every piece by reading books. I've used it to help anxiety and depression, I find it relaxing and generally love it. Now that Kirby closed my his topic I thought I'd start posting them daily or at random intervals. If you guys would like to request a model for me to make, please post it here with some sort of tutorial. If the model you want requires cutting I probably won't do it, as that is considered kirigami. It's also considered dirty because it requires breaking the paper.
My first is a redo of one from Kirby's topic: The Dragon

I'll ask admins to please not merge to two topics, as a certain user was being rather spam happy in the original. I don't want to deal with people, I just want to share my art.

i literally wish i was as good as these people at making origami
i literally wish i was as good as these people at making origami
When I first started I couldn't make my 5th grade crush a flower when she asked. It sparked an intense 2 year process of me making that flower. It took me 2 years to make a flower without failing. I hated it by the end.
It's always practice. Anyone can make anything beautiful as long as you practice. I like Arin Hanson's take on practice makes perfect: "You think I came out of the **** drawing like Mozart?"

I really try to get into origami, but 90% of the video's online are unhelpful or like.. help. I made a little picture frame when I was 13 after from folding randomly couldn't find the pic
Here's the previously mentioned flower. Not the best paper for showing the patterns and folds, but it's what I have currently.

Double post because I wish to keep these two posts seperate.
I've never used video tutorials, I 100% recommend books. Learning basic folds are the fundamentals to anything you make, so those should be practiced constantly. I highly recommend going to your local library and just checking out books and practicing.

No. Please stop.

This kind of makes me envious since the only origami I know how to do is a small paper cup that can hold water.
Keep up the good work m9
How long will it take me to get banned again?
Place your bets right here.

Which books are these from if any btw? I'll have to keep my eye out for them
Also do you do any modular origami? It's probably my favourite admittedly. I've done a lot of stuff with Sonobe units and I'm also a big fan of Tomoko Fuse and her spiral designs

Sadly I never got into Modular origami. I mostly stick to Animals/Action.
