How can the smiley menu be improved?

Right now it is just a huge pot of smilies that are not organized at all. How do you think it could be improved?

Make it like the blocks are, with tabs to scroll through
Also put auras in a separate menu

maybe tabs wouldnt be too bad, have a tab with smileys with hats, 'naked' smileys, something like that. my example is probably horrible but there must be a good way to differentiate the smileys right?

I don't think they need to be organised in any specific way. We already have search bar and a favourite system to help us find smilies, so idk if categories are necessary. In order to make it a little more neat, we could just put the smilies into pages and limit the number of smilies on one page. This actually helps to find specific smilies because it's easier to look through all the smilies page by page, rather than all at once. Plus, you'll remember which page certain smilies are on after using the system for some time.

I personally would prefer it in order of ID (as it currently is), simply for familiarity. It also makes sure all the basic smileys are together.

I can relate. All those 'copy-my-face-bosses' I have lost even though I have the smiley just because I couldn't find the smiley in time...
