Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The idea of trading items in-game seems like a good one...until you remember that every player gets free energy, making it an infinitely inflating currency which people would create hundreds of alt accounts for.
Instead, why not do it with gems? Each time you buy an item with gems, instead of directly owning it, you get an item code for that particular item. This item code can be either redeemed by the owner like gem codes, or traded with other players for any number of gems.
You can buy any amount of item code until you run out of gems. While yes, this would make more expensive items decrease in price as good deals pop up in the market, but I also imagine it would create a lot more interest in gems instead of completely fixed prices with no variety whatsoever. (Remember the ol' MrShoe sales? Good times.)

Don't see why you would buy something with gems when you can get it with energy (apart from that ultimate block pack idea where you get all the blocks in the game). In order for trading to work, more exclusive items that cannot be acquired by normal means should exist. For example, look at games where trading does work. Those games have a big pool of items of varying rarity that can be acquired through something like crates (or anything rng-based). That doesn't exist in EE, the only items that come from something rng-based are magic items, but those should be untradable imo.

..so basically I create 999999 alt accounts that my bot logs into once per day, slowly generating me gems for the login bonus, and then after (however many login days to get 1 gem) I have 99999 gems on seperate accounts. I then automate the proces of buying the cheapest thing in the shop for all of them.
Then my main account gets 9999 small worlds because my bot trades them all to me. If I can actually transfer these back to gems I have broken the game and I buy infinite diamonds. Otherwise I have just crashed the small world market.
Rinse and repeat for any item you want to generate 99999 of at a cost of more time.

That's a problem with login rewards then if they make gems so worthless.

They're not currently worthless though as it takes many months to get enough for anything, it only becomes a problem when rather than something taking 20 weeks, it takes 1 week with 20 bots

Right now the game has lots of depth for both players and builders, but not buyers. Why do you think depth for shoppers is bad?
showpath said they dont give gem codes for daily rewards
No, the idea I think is that you can have bots logging in for daily rewards then buying item coupons which would break the system.
