Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

omg I just remembered... In 2012 you had to pay for chat (1 cent) so I didn't have it... I used to think people were so happy hopping around and saying nice compliments until I got chat like 3 months later and saw people saying rude things to my world and cussing LOL
Also since I didn't have chat I loved Kongregate chat. It was amazing. It felt like a family talking to some people (Aoitenshi, Frogman, Hummerz5, some others)
well it hasn't really maybe a little bit but nothing really changed unless it was me spending more time on pc trying to respond

Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing to the topic.
I mean, I guess I met some people who annoyed me, learned a programming language which I later forgot, was introduced to a Minecraft server which later went down... ...So nothing I had from EE really stuck. Minecraft had an infinitely greater impact on me than EE... but I don't give EE credit for playing Minecraft, as I always wanted Minecraft, and finally got it for Christmas... and then in 2014, slowly I left my village of Everybody Edits for my new found home, Minecraft. <3
...I just come back every once and awhile to see if the game is dead yet.
Despite what people say, Different55 is the best mod.

In 2014-2016, it was an era of gaming to that flash game. I stopped doing that in late 2016 when I moved to Windows Never Released. But I was still playing that game, from constantly to barely. I'm now playing an closed beta of Everybody Edits Universe, which I wish, that it would succeed.
I hate you John

I got all my online friends from EE, and there has been many over the years.
But it also taught me a lot of things about creating. I mean a lot of things.
- I learned general things like how to plan and finish projects, how to deal with feedback, and some basic working/creativity "tricks" as well.
- I got really into transcribing songs by ear because of the music world community of EE, and it's something that has helped me a ton with playing and composing music irl.
- Working with art taught quite a lot of visual things, like dealing with colors. Creating forum signatures got me into image editing.
Bots even got me into programming, which I was never too interested in before.
To me EE has always been a place to create and talk with friends. I don't really even like playing worlds.
Imo it was a really unique way to meet and interact with other people.

well EE surely has impacted my life a lot
i joined ee in 2015 july
i somehow got addicted to it (which was dumb) so i did worse in school every year until 2019
that seems like a bad thing, but seriously, i don't regret it.
my first mafia game was played in 2019 april on EE forums
i loved playing mafia so much that i ended up making a discord mafia server with my friend (technically my friend made it, but it was my idea so whatever)
i invited my ee friends to the server, and they invited some people who doesn't play ee. the server now has around 50 people in it.
this sounds exaggerated, but without ee, i think my life would be much more miserable. im not saying that the 'gameplay' has changed me, but the community has. i guess it acted as a part of my growth, since i started to play EE on 9, and i was very immature. it was around mid-2018 that i looked back at my journey in EE, then i suddenly realized that i was immature as ****. honestly, without ee, i think i would still be quite immature lol.
my ee friends (in ee and the mafia server) has also changed me a lot in personality and other things. idk when did it start, but i started to be sad everyday because of stress, to a point where i considered to kill myself, but my ee friends has always been cheering me up, helping me to go over different obstacles. i've also been more open to people now (although i'm still shy af irl), i never really told anyone about how i feel until mid-2019 (around when the mafia server is created), and i made many friends (mostly online friends). it amazes me how a community can change a person so much. i might've killed myself already if it wasn't this community lol.
i feel sorry for those people i've hurt when i was immature though, i've wanted to apologize but never got a chance, so i'll just say it here
EDIT: My english is also way better than before lol, thanks to this game. Back in 2015 my texts are literally unreadable (not really but you know what i mean)

- helped me a lot into learning Engligh slangs and internet talk
- inspired me to get my degree on Game Design
- inspired me to learn pixel art (I am still not good at this tho lol)
But the most important: memories
- my internet friends competing who build the better level, then we all speedrun it
- my school friends also start playing it, even if most of the times they would just turn EE off and go play Grand Chase
- each EE update was so fun, to buy and use new blocks and get more magic smileys and bricks
- the non-stopping 200 RED MINIGAMES, 500 BLUE MINIGAMES, 1000 RAINBOW MINIGAMES worlds, which were real simple but so much fun
- everytime I click the "Woot" button on forums I remember the true nature of "Wooting" and how it started
- login everyday to get the 10 magic coin stuff to upgrade my magic shield, then using flawn potion and show off
EE, along with Grand Chase, Runescape, Plants vs Zombies, Tribal Wars and DDTank were my childhood games, and I love so much these games.
Even if they don't shine in market or popularity anymore, they still shine for me.
I will never regret the day that I was on that humble flash games website, clicked the "sandbox" category and found out this gem.

This was a community I made good friendships in. It wasn't the first one, but it taught me how to design less horrible levels and let me meet a friend that I still work on random projects with (rocktheworld314). It really was mostly a timewaster and chatroom, but I still enjoyed it while it lasted. I also liked being able to really build mechanisms, since I'm still nub at actual programming but I could handle switches.

Holy **** I miss Fail Forums, those were good times. It's crazy to me that Bedwar is so active, every time I've been in a group chat/server with EE friends, unfortunately it dies after a while.

A sense of belonging. I'm certainly not perfect and I'm not exactly very notable as a player. I'm pretty much mediocre in every sense of the word when it comes to EE. My music worlds are average, I have maybe a few good worlds, some of them being just art worlds that are also middle-line. I recently beat Fractured Fingers and have 3 tiers of Bittersweet done, so if you consider Fractured Fingers the barrier to entry for being "pro" then I'm probably the worst "pro" in this game (it probably isn't but I'm still certainly not remarkable in that aspect, even if it was). I'd like to feel good about the graphics suggestions I've made for this game but I still feel pretty mediocre compared to people like Sleepy, Security-Drone, Toop, and the like. Despite my feelings of mediocrity, I still feel like I belong here in this community. I made a lot of friends here and I still try to be here for them to the best of my ability. Without this, I'd probably just be a "floater" out there on the internet not amounting to much.
Oh, also, EE has gotten me pretty interested in music, which I'm trying to go into as a career choice. Sounds pretty dumb but Shad0wf0xx exposed me to Touhou music such a long time ago and finding it again on Youtube circa 2012 through things like Synthesia and piano cover videos made me work to learn to play the piano. A majority of what I listen to nowadays is actually piano, and I still listen to Touhou and other video game music very often.
Shoutout to TaskManager for being a pretty awesome best friend.

honestly I always thought colon's posts were confusing but looking back now I think he was just like 5 years ahead of the entire rest of the planet. I used to not be able to look at fail without cringing but my sense of cringe must have broken because now I just can't stop laughing when I look back at how dumb we were.
but yeah, the community here without a doubt has made the biggest impact on me. It's been (almost?) 10 years since I hopped on this insane roller coaster. You guys can be gigantic pains sometimes but I wouldn't still be here if I didn't genuinely enjoy hanging out with you guys.
