Rules
1. All forum rules apply, however multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. If you stay inactive too long or not contributing to discussion , you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours.
5. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
6. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
7. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
8. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
9. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
10. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
11. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

Background
The Mafioso Family was once a great crime conglomerate lead by the Godfather. It would meet daily to discuss the progress of its dealings and strategies. However, the unity of the organisation was thrown into disarray when one morning, the Godfather was found dead. Immediately, several factions emerged, claiming to want to lead the crime empire. The Loyalists must consolidate what power they still have if they are to prevent the notoriously aggressive Orange Faction, the sly Blue Faction, and the steadfast Purple Faction, from destroying all that they have worked hard to achieve.
The game will end when one faction controls a majority of the crime conglomerate.

so devlin was the other purple person? got it. You're probably the purple killer though, not sure if everyone would get blocked tomorrow though....
this game is pretty weird - i assume the loyalists are the cause of this mess.

Btw @Slabdrill, you said at the beginning of this day that you were role blocked, that means you’re the shooter for your team right? Do you mind telling us who you tried to kill? Because that person was obviously protected and you can’t protect someone twice in a row. Meaning whoever you tried to kill can guarantee be killed tonight.
Roleblock isn't protection.
I don't know where Slabdrill got the idea that Devlin changed his faction to the loyalists, but I assume that it's a hint.
The three colored factions seem to be structured pretty similarly (one nightchat + one kill + one other) from the two that I know, plus the loyalists have no real description in the OP and seem different from the rest in general.

judging purple from the one rolecard we got, it's pretty similar to my rolecard which means i assume that all the parts that are similar are basically the same as mine

I don't see how that confirms me as a protector-type, as from what i can tell, all of the "normal" rolecards are basically the same:

If you mean that all role cards are the same then I wouldn't have known that. My team didn't post their exact role cards in the chat they just said what they can do.
Even just two similar rolecards is enough to make a lot of assumptions. Unless you're the "other" of your team, I'm not sure how you wouldn't have noticed the similarities.

Also i'm trying to figure out what the catch to this game is:
if all night roles are blocked, only one kill can happen per day.
if the communicator gets killed, the backup they just hired will take their role.
so how to deal with red

me throwing out who my teammate is isn't exactly supposed to be suspicious; abelysk did the same thing, even if he's single now while i still have a teammate.

if you read the backup rolecard you'll notice it wouldnt help anyway.
"In the event of a member of the Mafioso Family dying, you will take their role."
However killing someone else would be nice because seeing the rolecards would make it actually possible to do a strategy
