Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

making pain sounds in games

how do shooter game developers make pain sounds for the soldiers when they are shot?
do they just bring some random guy to the sound studio and shoot him and record his screams?

Re: making pain sounds in games

1. Put legos on the floor
2. Secretly attach microphones to peoples' shirt
3. Turn off lights
4. Hope someone steps on it

I mean, they're paid actors, so yeah. What, do people in Game of Thrones step on legos when they get stabbed

Re: making pain sounds in games

Essentially all video games sounds are created/replicated in real life and then edited in an audio editor.

In your specific example, they would record someone screaming/yelling in a certain way and then edit the sound to make it sound more 'realistic' to getting shot.

It's also super 100% illegal.

Not if you dont get permission first, otherwise it couldnt be 100% realistic as they would be expecting it
