Levitation Trampoline

I almost didn't want to tell anyone because I feel like it could be used, but anyways.  I noticed, when falling, if you're holding space and land on a levitation effect, it instantly puts you up to max speed instead of making you gradually accelerate.  So I ran a test by putting a levitation effect at the bottom of the world, placing the disable levitation effect at various heights, and holding space for 10 "bounces".  Here's the data I gathered:

1 - Not possible to test
2 - No effect
3 - No effect
4 - Alternating between instant acceleration and no effect
5 - No effect
6 - Instant acceleration
7 - Instant acceleration
8 - Alternating between instant acceleration and no effect
9 - Instant acceleration
10 - Instant acceleration

After seeing that it consistently was working at this point, but 4 and 8 were different, I decided to look at multiples of 4.

12 - Instant acceleration
16 - Instant acceleration
20 - Instant acceleration
24 - Instant acceleration
28 - Instant acceleration

I conducted one final test with an extreme.

398- Instant acceleration

But it continued working so I hereby conclude that this instant acceleration bug works while falling from a height of at least 6 and landing on a levitation effect,  with the special cases being 4 and 8 where it alternates.

Upon running the test again, 8 is no longer alternating. Not sure why, after controlling different things, I'm unable to find a source.

That is what I was thinking, but why would it alternate on 8 and especially on 4 when 5 didn't even work.
