Concerning Spam & Spam Replies

There have already been a couple topics made about this but that was years ago.

I just wanted to remind everyone that replying to spam (whether it be from an automated bot or from a real user) achieves nothing and is actually against the rules.

Post in the correct subforums; follow subforum rules. Do not spam. Don't reply to spam.

I think most of the staff have been pretty lenient in this regard, and obviously we're (well at least I'm) not going to look at the history of every spam topic and warn those who have replied, but for future reference please do not reply to spam. It contributes nothing and you risk being warned.

Instead, use the Flag™ button. It helps the mods out a lot more than a sarcastic reply.
