cannon

A single block that you jump into. you can rotate the direction and then with a button press in launches you in that direction.
like a boost that you chose the rotation for and when it fires you.

also a second type that rotates on its own at a controllable speed. like a cannon form Kirby

Also, this sounds interesting. what if, akin to the portals, they were also fixed?
