World portals should work somewhat like normal portals, where they have an ID and a target ID. This could open many more possibilities for worlds and systems.
An idea of a use for this is that you could have a system like Mario games. Where there is a world map with portals leading to other worlds. (End points in those levels could lead to coins to open up future stages on the world map)

Why? We already have regular portal IDs that can be used for this feature. Adding a second type of portal ID would add unneeded complexity.
I don't think you understand what he's suggesting.
He means, give ID's to the portals that can link worlds together. This way you can require winning a certain portion of one ee world to unlock areas in a completely different one.

Yeah, I understand. I think a better idea would be to have world portals link to regular portals. Adding IDs to world portals would make things more confusing.

you can either have two completely separate entities of ID's
or a jumble of portals that link from world to world but also to each other and it's confusing and aaaaa
