what do you think of it? there was a girl on the community of a game i play, she brought up this topic and people started counter-argue her, it was kinda funny her arguments like ''gravity dosen't exists, there's just a force that pulls us down''

coz these kinds of theories say to judge Earths based on their shape and for especially questions like this which implies certain theories should be literally treated as incorrect they really just shouldnt be brought to light on a forum like this. go to twitter or facebook or youtube if you wanna do this jesus flatting christ

I must say I used to think flat Earth believers had some for of "solid proof" to stand on. Know .....

I always thought of it as "if I haven't seen it myself, I can't know it's real". Like Africa could be fake since I haven't been there myself. Everyone else could just be lying. That's the mentality I'd imagine flat earth believers to have. I could be wrong though.

Do celestial bodies actually prove the curvature of the Earth? no. Even their paths they "take" -- isn't that to some extent Earth's travels as well? (i'm really not sure)

I love how so many concepts (like earth being a spheroid(?)) have counter-arguments that combine half-knowledge with avoiding truths. In this way, you can convince the reader that something "scientific" is going on... but you ultimately tell the reader "hey, this is your conclusion. Good job!"

Pretty sure all they did to decide on a sphere shape was something about poles in the ground and their shadows.

If anything, the earth being flat or round is only questionable for me if I call upon the "nothing is true" skeptic answer. Strictly speaking, I haven't done the math or seen the figures (or tried to understand them) to actually be able to say it's true.

But this is true of so many other things.
