Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Post-election party thread!

I feel like this warrants a thread of its own since the other two are about who should be president. We know who's going to be president now, so let's talk about that.

Is America doomed? Is it saved? What's next for Hillary? What're Trump's first 100 days going to look like? How's the meme economy doing? There are so many questions and I think it's going to be this forum that has all the answers.

Re: Post-election party thread!

It's shocking how many uneducated idiots America has.

I'm hype to watch all these world leaders tear Trump to shreds.

Thanks to the based Electoral College it's meaningless. What happens is that states with large urban centers tend to be super liberal. For example, California is hyper liberal. What happens in those blue states is around 65% of the electorate votes for Hillary but it doesn't matter because there are only X number of electoral votes available in that state regardless of how many popular votes she gets. In conclusion, a bunch of liberals have their votes wasted.

If we were going to warn you, "B-BUT IF YOU WARN ME FOR T-THIS YOU'RE ADMITTING I'M R-RIGHT," isn't going to stop us.

Anyway

Found this on reddit, makes me wonder how many of these kinds of people there were and how things would have turned out differently.

My mom voted for Trump because she hates gays, and dislikes Mexicans, Muslims, Blacks, and anyone who isn't Christian.

This is how I would imagine most Republicans. Wake up America, your racism is showing.

I feel like Hillary supporters are the real bullies here, and I am not a Trump supporter.  You'd be amazed how many times I've seen people labeled as a racist/bigot for saying they're voting third party.

They sadly are not strawman, I've sadly heard every single one of them in reality (except the polygendered part) and social media.

"Illegal Mexicans are rapists" "Build a wall over the Mexican border. THEY will build it!"
"We need lots of surveillance at mosques." "Every Muslim needs an ID."
"Get rid of Obamacare."
"I blame the Supreme Court for gay marriage. We need the States to decide."

I could find more racist quotes, but you get the point.

Re: Post-election party thread!

@zelda And we've both heard equally dumb things from the right, but they aren't representative of every conservative. Putting the spotlight on the worst of the worst is why politics are so divided right now.

Basically, act like a mature adult and ignore the idiots who don't. You aren't justified in acting like a buffoon just because some people on the other side also did; that makes you just as bad as them.

Here's the problem. Donald Trump CAN change the country with his bullying. Supporters do not change anything but how people think about the candidates.

I'm not a supporter of either, but Clinton would be a better choice imo.
