Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Overwold Premises

Overworld Premises!

-60d38f022712463abe28de6b5beb333d.png-

Hey everyone,
It's been a while since I got to get back on the forums!
So now that I am back I introduce one of the few worlds I made during this time.

This world was inspired a little bit by EX Crew Odyssey, Why? well you will notice when you play.
Also If you beat this world in under x100 deaths you get a prize!

Do PM me or post if you completed in under x100deaths so I could add you to leaderboard, if it is acceptable

the printscreen link that you stuffed into that IMG tags (http://prnt.sc/c24csa) leads to a webpage that has an image, it doesnt lead straight to the image itself, you have to right click the image and click "copy image link" and paste THAT link into the tags

edit: played the world, gave up on 1st mini. gg

Re: Overwold Premises

The basic idea of this world was really cool: You started with no jump, and then got more and more jump effects until you had like double jump + low gravity + high jump. It was a really nice idea, and you also added the backracking to it, which made it even better! And thank you so much for adding the guide system which tells you where to go next, that was a very good idea and helped me a lot!
The gameplay was nice, but some minis felt too difficult for the world. For example the first mini was way more difficult than the ones after it, so it kinda gave a wrong impression about the world at first. Also the last mini felt a bit difficult, but actually wasn't that bad once you figured out how to do it. Most of the gameplay was quite fun to me, but some of the art kinda made it worse. You had nice looking art, but it made many of the minis look very messy. Try to keep the background art more simple when you have a lot of action blocks on top, it makes playing the world a lot more enjoyable!

Here's an example of a bit messy part. It can be difficult to see which of the blocks are solid and which are bg or something else. If you replace the yellow sand bg with the same canvas bg it will look a lot cleaner and easier to understand!

Overall it was quite a cool world, but try to make cleaner art in your future worlds. Messy art tends to confuse people so much that they end up not playing your world.
Good job, cheers!
